Genshin Impact is an open-world, action RPG released in September 2020 and uses a gacha model that's extremely popular among mobile games. In gacha style games, players buy loot boxes that drop random content, which can be anything from cosmetics to powerful new playable characters.

Unlike most gacha games, Genshin Impact offers a way of getting free characters and items through various quests. Those characters are almost never of the highest rarity, but they can do a very decent job without spending any money on the game.

A recent post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit has revealed an interesting infographic showing all the free stuff that miHoYo has been handing out since the game's release. There have been a total of twelve four-star items given out for free for now, one for each update. Even by acquiring just these free items, players could've assembled a very strong team that can overcome every obstacle on its way. The current Genshin Impact update allows players to get their hands on the four-star catalyst Oathsworn Eye. The weapon is a great fit for characters that need additional energy recharge which includes the recently released Genshin Impact character Yae Miko.

Even though there was a lot of hype around Yae Miko, her fans had to settle with the fact that she's just a decent character. One of her greatest advantages is that she's really easy to use as she doesn't need a specific artifact set. However, it's highly likely that the upcoming Genshin Impact updates will bring a new artifact set that suits her strength, for now, players have to settle with hybrid sets that have decent bonuses.

Over the past couple of months, multiple rumors have been hinting that she's one of the strongest main DPS characters, but those theories were quickly debunked once she officially joined the playable roster. This is probably the reason why some players tend to skip her banner, especially since the official 2.5 live stream confirmed the arrival of a new Genshin Impact double banner re-run featuring two popular characters, Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi.

Raiden Shogun still holds the record for being the most pulled character on a single banner cycle. Most five-stars are required to be pulled numerous times to build up their Genshin Impact character constellations in order to awake their full potential. Luckily in the case of Raiden Shogun, there is not a huge difference between her C0 and C6 levels.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
