Genshin Impact leak revealed an unfinished version of the highly anticipated region of Inazuma, though the images are very rough, early versions of the final product.

Inazuma might be the most anticipated of the upcoming Genshin Impact regions alongside Sumeru, the Dendro region. Though some have theorized that Dendro characters might release before the Electro region, Inazuma marks Chapter 2 of Genshin Impact's main story. Fans have been waiting patiently for its release, but no release date for Inazuma has been announced, though players are hoping for a summer release. As always, as its inevitable release draws closer, leaks are beginning to surface online.

A new leak showing off an early version of Inazuma's map comes from Genshin Impact insider Lumie. This leak, if true, confirms a previous rumor that Inazuma would be a cluster of islands off Teyvat's coast. Inazuma is inspired by Japan and will feature not only similar geography but architecture as well, mixed with the element Electro.

Lumie released a series of images from the upcoming region, and the first one shows a rough topography map of Inazuma. Like the real islands that make up Japan, the leak claims that Inazuma will also have a crescent shape, or at least one part of it will. According to Lumie, it's likely that the images and models they've posted are only a small portion of all of Inazuma, though this isn't certain. This crescent shape is likely the easternmost side of the islands, they say.

The next image is a 3D model of Inazuma's architecture, likely in this same area. Much like how Liyue mirrors architecture seen in China, Inazuma will have Japanese-inspired buildings, mixed with the element of Electro. As shown in Genshin Impact's 1.5 Special Program, many of the cities show a purple motif inspired by the Electro element.

The next 3D models show how Inazuma will utilize levels throughout, such as with mountainous regions, but within the cities, as well, the small area of islands uses height to their advantage with the aid of bridges, similar to Huaguang Stone Forest in Liyue. The models leaked by Lumie also show early water textures making up the shapes of waterfalls around Inazuma.

As for whether or not the leak is legitimate, the 3D models in them match concept art that was previously released by miHoYo through the 1.5 Special Program, though this doesn't necessarily mean they're real, but Lumie has a strong track record for Genshin Impact leaks so far.

Genshin Impact is available now on mobile, PC, and PS4. The PS5 version releases on April 28, and the Switch version is in development.
