Possibly the single biggest appeal of Genshin Impact is the many colorful characters that call the fantastical world of Teyvat home. The cast of Genshin Impact features a wide variety of gorgeous anime-inspired designs with strong personalities attached, and even the idle animations reflect who a character is. Now, two Genshin Impact players have teamed up to create a perfectly-time combination of idle animations that show Yae Miko hitting Ganyu on the head.

Yae Miko is a yokai priestess hailing from Inazuma, where she serves as the head shrine maiden of Grand Narukami Shrine and editor-in-chief of the Yae Publishing House. Ganyu is a half-qilin Adeptus who has acted as the secretary to the Liyue Qixing for thousands of years after signing a contract with Rex Lapis. Both of these characters balance a serious side with a more playful or scatterbrained side respectively.

Redditor Guarand0o took advantage of Yae Miko and Ganyu's idle animations to create a short video capturing the moment when playful yokai and dazed Adeptus literally collided. In the video, Ganyu stands in front of Yae Miko and begins to drift off to sleep. Even as Ganyu's eyes slide closed, Yae Miko raises her wooden wand, waves it around in a mystical fashion, and then bonks Ganyu on the head. The impact appears to cause Ganyu to wake up and flail around for a moment.

Although the idle animations appear to sync up perfectly, there is still one major flaw. In the moments before Yae Miko smacks Ganyu, she clearly waves her wand through Ganyu's head. This does some damage to the illusion that the two characters are interacting with each other. However, the timing of Yae Miko's final bonk and Ganyu jerking awake from her nap is spot on. This adorable animation combination may inspire gamers to keep Ganyu and Yae Miko on the same team.

As of writing, it appears that other Genshin Impact fans find this video adorable. Not only is Ganyu a fan favorite for her adorable personality and mannerisms, but Yae Miko is also liked for her attractive design and mischievous attitude. Several users commented stating that the timing on this video was fantastic. One user replied asking for the developers to please let Ganyu sleep, while a second declared it was an incredibly cute interaction.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
