Elemental Sight is one of Genshin Impact's most interesting features. It's an Exploration feature that allows the Traveler to see things they wouldn't usually be able to see, and it's used pretty often from the very beginning of the game. It has a lot of different applications in the Genshin Impact overworld: it's used during weekly Bounties when hunting for the boss enemy to fight; it can be used on both Seelies to show a path to their Seelie garden (and vice versa); it's used within certain quests and objectives; and it can be used to see the elemental traits assigned to different enemies and objects in the world around the player.
This guide will show how to toggle and use Elemental Sight regardless of how you play Genshin Impact. However, it's also useful to note that most players can change their control mapping through Genshin Impact's game settings. If players would rather press another button or use another technique to access Elemental Sight, that is also something that can be easily achieved!
How To Use Elemental Sight on PC
To use Elemental Sight on PC, players have two options depending on their play style. The first option is for players who use a mouse while playing on PC. The second option is for players who don't have access to a mouse - for example, players who play on a laptop.
The first option is to use your mouse to access Elemental Sight by clicking the middle button of your mouse. This will immediately begin Elemental Sight, and can be very useful if you want to use Elemental Sight while moving. For players who might not have access to a mouse and thus, no access to the middle button of a mouse, players can also click and hold the Alt button on the left-hand side of their keyboard. After holding for a few seconds, the mouse will appear; from here, players can click on the small Elemental Sight icon, located at the top left of the screen, right beside the mini-map.
How To Use Elemental Sight on PS4/PS5
To begin using Elemental Sight on console - including both the Playstation 4 and the Playstation 5 - the player should hold the L1 bumper on the left side of the controller. This will prompt the shortcut wheel to appear; once the shortcut wheel appears, click left on the D-pad of the controller. The player can also press the square button while the shortcut wheel is active. This should trigger Elemental Sight, and is also very easy to access while on the move.
If players would rather click a different button to trigger either the shortcut wheel or the Elemental Sight after opening the shortcut wheel, both of these can be changed from the game settings.
How To Use Elemental Sight on Mobile
Using Elemental Sight on mobile is perhaps the easiest way to access Elemental Sight out of all the options mentioned above. For mobile Genshin Impact players, all they have to do is press the small Elemental Sight button at the top left of the screen, located just beside the mini-map. That's all!
Sadly, mobile players do not have the option of changing how to access Elemental Sight in the game settings, as the clickable on-screen Elemental Sight toggle is constant. However, this is the easiest form of toggling Elemental Sight out of all the game settings, so players will likely not need to change it regardless.
