The most exciting aspect of Genshin Impact is likely its gacha feature, so it’s no surprise to see people spending so much on it. For players to get a featured character in Genshin Impact, they need to use a premium currency called Intertwined Fate. Meanwhile, the normal banner (Standard Banner) uses a different currency called Acquaint Fate.
Since Acquaint Fate can’t be used to get premium units, it’s not quite as desirable as its Intertwined counterpart. However, grinding the Standard Banner can still yield some precious items, so players should be aware of all the methods they can use to get Acquaint Fate in Genshin Impact.
7 Paimon's Shop
Each month, players can spend a total of 375 Masterless Stardust to get five Acquaint Fate from the Paimon’s Shop. They can also spend 160 Primogems or 5 Starglitter without limit, but it’s far better to spend Primogems or Starglitter on Intertwined Fate instead.
15 Stardust is rewarded when players get a 3-star weapon from their Wish, so it’s not so hard to accumulate 375 Stardusts every month. Meanwhile, Starglitter is given when people get 4 or 5-star items.
6 Battle Pass
The premium Battle Pass grants some of the best weapons in Genshin Impact, like Serpent Spine and Black Sword, along with some Talent Books, Intertwined Fates, and Primogems. Meanwhile, the free version rewards some common resources and a few Acquaint Fate.
For every 10 levels in the Battle Pass, players can collect one Acquaint Fate. So, in every version, they can get five Fates for finishing the Pass to level 50. It’s highly recommended to finish the Battle Pass, not only for the free wishes but also for the useful resources.
5 Character Ascension
As of Genshin Impact 1.2, ascending a character to stages one, three, and five grants one Acquaint Fate each, so every character can yield three Fates in total. While this may not seem much, if someone owns all the characters in the game, they can accumulate almost 150 Fates from ascending alone.
Because of this, even if players don’t intend to use a certain character, ascending them may not be a very bad idea for those looking to grind the Standard Banner.
4 Frostbearing Tree
Frostbearing Tree is the red tree that exists in Dragonspine. After Genshin Impact players thaw all the shards out, they can make an “offering” to it using Crimson Agates. In the snowy mountain, Crimson Agates acts similarly to Oculus, which players have to find all over the area. In total, the Frostbearing Tree grants four Acquaint Fate, along with some other items, like the Polearm Billet.
However, players should note that this task won’t be easy since Dragonspine is filled with many puzzles that hide Crimson Agates. The snowy region also hides some of these items in a chest, which players can find by keeping an eye out for the red aura that surrounds it.
3 Lumenstone Adjuvant
Lumenstone Adjuvant is a gadget that players will use often in the Underground Chasm. This equipment can be upgraded by collecting Lumenspar in Genshin Impact. Lumenspar is an item that behaves like an Oculus. Players can see their approximate location on the map, but it can sometimes be tricky to find its exact spot.
When the Lumenstone Adjuvant is upgraded, it will unlock new abilities. It’s necessary to improve this gadget if players wish to fully explore the Underground Chasm. This is because some places are locked behind walls that can only be destroyed with enhanced Lumenstone Adjuvant. In total, players can get four Acquaint Fate from leveling up this gadget.
2 Sacred Sakura Tree
The Sacred Sakura Tree exists in Inazuma, and, unlike the Frostbearing Tree and Lumenstone Adjuvant, players have to offer Electro Sigils to gain its rewards. Electro Sigils can be collected by opening Chests throughout Inazuma, leveling up Inazuma’s Statue of the Seven, or by finishing one-time domains in the land of thunder.
Maximizing the Sacred Sakura Tree’s level is quite a long journey, but it’s easily worth the time and effort that doing so requires. From the great purple tree, players can amass a total of 20 Acquaint Fate.

Unlike the rest of the sources in this list, the following providers for Acquaint Fate are likely some of the most unreliable ones:
- One Acquaint Fate is given when the Wish feature is first unlocked
- Two Acquaint Fate can be obtained from each Adventure Rank Ascension (eight total)
- Two Acquaint Fate are awarded for completing certain Adventurer Handbook tasks
- A total of 17 Acquaint Fates are handed out as players climb their way to Adventure Rank 60.
For those wondering, a sum of 28 Acquaint Fates can be accumulated from the aforementioned sources.
