Constellation in Genshin Impact is the feature used to strengthen a character. Each unit in Genshin Impact can own up to six Constellations, where afterward, they'll be called a "C6 Character." For 4-star units, this upgrade is easy to get, but for a 5-star, it'll be costly, as players have to do up to 90 pulls to get one.
For F2P players, getting a Constellation mostly means they need to save for several Versions. As for spenders, they need to burn some cash for their favorite character. If Travelers are wondering how much they need to save (or spend), then this guide will break down the cost of each Constellation in Genshin Impact.
How Much Each 5-Star Constellation Costs in Genshin Impact
This article will list out the Primogem and real-life money needed to get each Constellation. The information will be split into four categories:
- Hard Pity pull
- Soft Pity pull
- 50/50 Win
- Guaranteed (50/50 Lost)
Hard Pity is when players have to reach the 90th wish to get their desired character, whereas Soft Pity will assume the 5-star comes home at 75th wish. Meanwhile, 50/50 Win means players never get other 5-star than the Promo Unit. In Genshin Impact, if players didn't get the featured unit on their first 5-star pull, the next is guaranteed to be a featured character. This is often called a "100%" or "guaranteed" state.
The Cost of 5-Star Constellations in Primogem
To reach certain Constellation upgrades in Genshin Impact, players have to spend this many Primogem:

The Cost of 5-Star Constellations in Cash (USD)
For spending players, they'll have to purchase Genesis Crystal first. Then, it can be converted to Primogem with a 1:1 rate. When people buy Genesis Crystals for the first time, they'll get more of the currency. But for this article, it will assume a normal price, so no first-charge bonus.

So in a worst-case scenario where players have to reach 90th wish and lose every 50/50, they'll have to spend around $2145 to upgrade a C0 unit to C6. Meanwhile, if they win every 50/50 and always get a 5-star on Soft Pity, the cost is lowered more than half to $900.
Although, of course, at the end of the day, luck plays the biggest role. It's more than possible that Travelers get a 5-star far earlier than 75th wish. If that happens, then the currency cost will be lowered even further.
