In the world quest "A Strange Story In Konda," Genshin Impact players are tasked with uncovering the mysterious events occurring near Konda village. Unlike most quests found in the Inazuma region, the Konda questline is extremely long, and will likely take Genshin Impact players several hours to complete.

There are several objectives throughout the questline that are extremely vague and may cause confusion for players. One of these strange objectives is to "Ask the locals for information."

After interacting with the Shrine maiden north of Konda village, players must travel to the village and interview the locals about any strange occurrences. In Konda village players will find a number of NPCs to interact with, however, players only need to interact with three villagers to obtain the clues required to progress the quest.

villager 1

The first NPC that players must interact with is the little girl named Futaba. Futaba is found immediately upon entering the town from the north and can be seen standing beside the canal that runs through the village. Futaba will inform the player of a bag she noticed in the river to the southeast of the village.

villager 2

The second NPC that players must speak with is the old woman named Saimon Eri. Unlike Futaba, Saimon Eri is slightly more challenging to find and can be located in the east of the village hidden next to some tomato plants. Saimon Eri will also provide players will a clue that they should investigate the well behind the Konda Chief's house.

villager 3

The final NPC that players must interact with is the small boy named Takeru. This is likely the one NPC that most players are bound to miss, as Takeru is found on the roof of a house in the southeast of the village. Like the previous two NPC's Takeru will provide players with their final clue which is to investigate a broken cart to the north of the village.

After collecting and investigating all three of the clues obtained from the Konda villagers, players must then confront the village Chief with the evidence. At this point in the quest, players will be tasked with finding the key required to unlock the well in Genshin Impact behind the Chief's house.

Once players solve the barrier puzzle inside, they will be rewarded with 350 Adventure XP, 40 Primogems, and 20,000 Mora. Players will also unlock the next quest in the Konda village questline called "Cleansing Defilement" where they will be tasked with cleansing three shrines found across Narukami Island.

Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
