An interesting Genshin Impact glitch equips the Anemo sword user Jean with a lightsaber. Glitches have been a part of the game since it arrived back in 2020, and while some can ruin perfect Spiral Abyss runs, most of them are harmless.

Reddit user CraftingVegeto has shared two Genshin Impact screenshots showing a glitch that gives the impression of Jean holding a lightsaber. Jean is a popular Anemo character who serves as the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius.

The thread was well-received in the game's community as the post reached over 7k upvotes with multiple comments asking how for tips on how to trigger the glitch, so they can try to replicate it on their server. While CraftingVegeto did not give any explanation, fans suspect that it probably has to do something with Jean's elemental burst, Dandelion Breeze, which lights the sword up for a short period of time. Jean is a five-star Anemo character that can be obtainable by wishing on the Standard Banner. At the time of her release back in September 2020, she was considered an S-tier character and one of the strongest healers in the game.

The release of newer and stronger characters that have a much deeper kit has pushed Jean out of most team compositions. Even the recent meta shift with the new Dendro element didn't have a large impact on her play rate as Anemo does not have a great synergy with Dendro compared to some other elements. Over the last couple of months, players have been asking HoYoverse to improve the state of older characters like Jean, Diluc, and Keqing.

One of the most popular Genshin Impact fan-made concepts includes introducing new awakening constellations that would bring these characters back to their former glory. This concept would include giving additional effects to their active and passive talents as well as increasing their level cap up to 100. A number of comments have stated that having a glowing sword like the one shown in the thread would perfectly fit Jean's awakening phase.

Another big improvement the majority of the community wants includes changing the way the Standard Banner works. At the moment, it features six different characters, with the new Dendro user Tignhari being the most recent addition. Even though expanding the character pool seems like a step in the right direction, players still want the option to choose which five-star character they are pulling for.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
