Players working their way through the Genshin Impact story will find themselves periodically refining and enhancing their weapons and characters. One of the many ways to boost a character's stats is with various Artifact sets, like the Gladiator's Finale.

Genshin Impact gives players unique bonuses for collecting Artifacts. When the pieces are equipped in sets of two and four, the Artifact grants additional bonuses to its wielder. The Gladiator's Finale set is drawing attention for being an indispensable add-on to damage-heavy physical characters, like Beidou, Diluc, and Razor.

Updated November 15, 2021, by Scott Vengel: Genshin Impact has continued to expand even now, over a year after its initial release. The introduction of Inazuma has offered new and veteran players a taste of the wonder that Genshin Impact was meant to bring to the table. Between new bosses, characters, weapons, events, and artifact sets, there's a lot to explore in Inazuma. However, that said, it's never been more pertinent to remember the artifacts, weapons, and characters that have proven themselves since the game's early days. As such, this article will be updated to offer more assistance to players looking to utilize the Gladiator's set.

The Gladiator Set in Genshin Impact

Artifact sets in Genshin Impact are broken up into the following five pieces of equipment:

  • 1 Flower of Life (a brooch)
  • 1 Plume of Death (a feather)
  • 1 Sands of Eon (an hourglass)
  • 1 Goblet of Enotherm (a goblet)
  • 1 Circlet of Logos (a helmet/circlet).

Gladiator's Finale consists of the following five artifacts:

  • Flower - Gladiator's Nostalgia
  • Plume - Gladiator's Destiny
  • Sands - Gladiator's Longing
  • Goblet - Gladiator's Intoxication
  • Circlet - Gladiator's Triumphus

Artifact Set Bonuses

The Artifacts each offer distinct base stat bonuses, but when equipped in pairs, they offer extra-powerful boosts. The 2-piece bonus for Gladiator's Finale is a hefty 18 percent ATK boost, while the 4-piece bonus additionally increases Normal Attack DMG by 35 percent if the wielder uses a sword, claymore, or polearm.

In addition, artifacts have sub-stats like elemental mastery and attack bonuses. Because of how common the Gladiator's set is in-game compared to other sets, it can be a good way to build characters that are lacking stats-wise.

Of course, all five pieces of the set aren't necessary for a bonus, but having a decent number of options to choose from allows for easier coordination with other Artifacts. Nonetheless, players in search of the Gladiator's Finale set will be thankful that it can be obtained via regular gameplay, so no Wishes are required for this rare equipment.

How to Get the Gladiator's Finale in Genshin Impact

Gladiator's Finale drops exclusively from Elite Bosses and Weekly Bosses beginning at World Level 2. That said, players hoping to land optimal 5-star versions of the Artifacts will have to begin their searches at World Level 3. Fortunately, the Gladiator's set drops from every Elite and Weekly Boss currently in the game.

Elite and Weekly Bosses appear on the in-game map, and can be challenged like a domain. Defeating a Genshin Impact Elite Boss will spawn a reward-filled Ley Line Blossom, which players can open with 40 Original Resin.

Artifact Strongbox

In addition, Genshin Impact introduced the Artifact Strongbox system in version 2.0. Using this system, players can trade in three 5-star artifacts for one Artifact Strongbox, which gives a random artifact from its set. This can be a way to try to get a Gladiator's set with the player's ideal sub-stats, should they have an abundance of artifacts.

There are four strongboxes available overall, and players can select which set to focus on, guaranteeing that an Artifact from Gladiator's Finale will be received. The other Artifact Strongboxes available are for the Bloodstained Chivalry, Noblesse Oblige, and Wanderer's Troupe sets.

To create an Artifact Strongbox, players will need to head to a Crafting Bench. One of these can be found permanently at the following locations:

  • Mondstadt's Foundtain Plaza
  • Albedo's Campsite in Mondstadt
  • Chihu Rock at Liyue Harbor
  • Inazuma City
  • Serenitea Pot (user's home)

Mondstadt Elite Bosses:

  • Anemo Hypostasis - encountered at the Stormbearer Mountains
  • Electro Hypostasis - encountered at Cape Oath
  • Cryo Hypostasis - encountered in Dragonspine
  • Cryo Regisvine - encountered at Starfell Valley

Liyue Elite Bosses:

  • Geo Hypostasis - encountered at Guyun Stone Forest
  • Pyro Regisvine - encountered at Cuijue Slope
  • Oceanid - encountered at Bishui Plain
  • Primo Geovishap - encountered at Tianqiu Valley

Inazuma Elite Bosses:

  • Pyro Hypostasis - encountered at Kannazuka
  • Hydro Hypostasis - encountered at Watatsumi Island
  • Maguu Kenki - encountered at Serpent's Head
  • Perpetual Mechanical Array - encountered under Jinren Island
  • Thunder Manifestation - encountered above Seirai Island
  • Golden Wolflord - encountered on Tsurumi Island

Weekly Bosses, on the other hand, are essentially more difficult Elite Bosses, and spawn a Trounce Blossom once defeated. Trounce Blossoms require a tribute of 60 Original Resin before they'll release any rewards. The two currently available Weekly Bosses are two of the fabled "Four Winds" of Genshin Impact, and though they're tougher to defeat, they hold rarer rewards.

Weekly Bosses:

  • Andrius - encountered at Wolvendom
  • Dvalin - encountered at Stormterror's Lair
  • Tartaglia - encountered at the Golden House
  • Azhdaha - encountered in Nantianmen
  • La Signora - encountered at Tenshukaku

For reference, Hypostases are the large element-wielding cubes found throughout Teyvat, whereas Regisvines are the large elemental flytrap-looking creatures. An Oceanid resembles a sort of flying squid-spirit, and Dvalin and Andrius are a giant dragon and wolf, respectively. More than anything, dedicated fans are highly recommending players hunt down Anemo Hypostases, simply because their reward pool is more limited, which makes Gladiator's Finale set pieces more likely to drop.

Players struggling to find the Artifacts may also want to consider leveling up. Reward values increase dramatically along with a higher Genshin Impact Adventure Rank.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PS4, and PS5.
