One of the newest feature additions to Genshin Impact is the game's housing system. Using this system, Genshin Impact players are able to design their own realm by purchasing blueprints in the realm depot store.

With the blueprints, players must proceed to acquire the materials needed in order to create the structure.  While some lower-level items such as chairs and tables may only require a small number of crafting materials, larger structures such as buildings and fountains require significantly more.

The most common building material that is used to construct these various structures are the seven different wood types that can be found throughout Genshin Impact's overworld. These wood types include Birch Cuihua, Bamboo, Sandbearer, Pine, Cedar, and Fir.

While the majority of these wood types are easy to obtain, there are a handful of wood types -such as Cuihua wood- that are far more difficult to find. There are three central locations where players can farm Cuihua wood. These include the area directly outside of Mondstadt city, the region of Starfell Lake, and Dadaupa Gorge.

Another challenge for players when farming wood is discerning the difference between each tree type. Luckily, Cuihua trees can are one of the most easily identifiable in the game due to the Sunsettia fruits hanging from their branches.

In the recently added Realm Dispatch update, Cuihua wood is required to craft several of the companion blueprints. As a result, players will have to frequently farm the limited locations of the trees if they want to acquire the numerous primogem rewards available from the new update.

An important factor to consider when farming Cuihua wood is the cooldown for the material. Unlike most materials -such as white iron chunks- that are farmed in the overworld, the cooldown on wood obtained from trees operates much differently.

The wood from a tree will respawn after every 10 additional trees chopped down. As a result, although the amount of Cuihua trees available is limited, there are more than 10 in the area of Northern Mondstadt, allowing players to repeatedly farm for the material.

It is worth noting that in some instances players have reported the wood from Cuihua trees has not respawned. This can be easily fixed by exiting the game and re-entering the world. While the majority of the farming methods described in this guide have been in relation to Cuihua wood, the same steps can be applied to the farming of other rare wood types such as pine.

Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
