In Genshin Impact, players can now create their own homes complete with furnishings. But in order to create a happy dwelling, players will first have to buy the Genshin Impact furniture blueprints from a vendor and collect all the needed materials to get started. One of the many materials needed will be bamboo segments.

Bamboo Segments

Not to be confused with the Genshin Impact cooking ingredient bamboo shoots, bamboo segments are cut from full-grown bamboo trees and are not edible. The segments can only be harvested from mature trees and are used in several furniture recipes, such as the Bamboo Outdoor Tea Table. Players can get blueprints for these furniture recipes from the Realm Depot, leveling Trust and the Adeptal Mirror, and several NPCs located around the map.

Where to Find Bamboo Trees

The best place in Genshin Impact to find fully-grown bamboo is along the road north to Qingce Village. This road is lined not only with little hidden bamboo shoots but also the fully grown trees players will need for the bamboo segments. As of this writing, players will have to farm their own; there does not seem to be a vendor in the game that currently sells these bamboo segments for the in-game Genshin Impact currency called Mora.

Location of Bamboo Segments in Genshin Impact

There are also some smaller paths leading in and out of Qingce Village that players can find more bamboo. The trees can be found in small clumps all around Genshin Impact's historical city of Liyue, in fact, but the roads around Qingce Village will have the densest population of the specialty wood pieces.

How to Get Bamboo in Genshin Impact

In order to get the bamboo out of the tree, players will have to melee the tree. The attacks don't actually fell the tree, though; Genshin Impact players just need to cut off a few branches to bring home with them. This means that players won't have to wait for the trees to regrow, ensuring that there will be more segments waiting after the daily reset. Each tree will supply between 1 and 3 pieces of bamboo when attacked, so players should sweep the area and melee any trees they can.

Players will also need to collect a plethora of other types of wood for these furniture recipes, like fir wood for example, so attacking some non-bamboo trees in the area might also help players get a little closer to building the Genshin Impact home of their dreams.

Genshin Impact is out now for mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5.
