The new Genshin Impact update 2.4 has just arrived and there are already multiple leaks revealing about Version 2.5 which should arrive mid-February. miHoYo's official social media accounts have revealed the new character that will join the roster.

Leaks are very frequent in the world of Genshin Impact and interesting info on a brand new character named Yae Miko has come up numerous times over the last couple of months. Since her appearance in update previews, she has become one of the most popular characters in the community.

Weapons are one of the most important parts of a character's build in Genshin Impact. A recent tweet by a credible leaker named Ubatcha1 has revealed a brand new four-star Catalyst by the name Oathsworn Eye. It will apparently be obtainable for free by completing the Three Realms Gateway Offering event. The new weapon has the following stats:

  • Weapon Type: Catalyst
  • Rarity: Four-star
  • Base Attack: 565
  • Secondary Stat (Attack percentage): 27.6%
  • Passive: People of the Faltering Light: Increases Energy Recharge by 24-48% for ten seconds after using an Elemental Skill

This weapon could be a great choice for DPS Catalyst characters which includes Ningguang, Klee, Mona, or the recently announced Yae Miko. Even though another leak revealed her signature five-star weapon, Oathsworn Eye could still be a great choice especially for players who won't spend their Primogems on the weapon banner. The weapon's passive has led many players to believe that this weapon is a great choice for Yae considering that she apparently has Energy Recharge problems.

Previous leaks have revealed that Yae's secondary stat is Crit rate which means that she will most likely be a strong DPS character. She is also confirmed to be an Electro Vision holder which is usual for Inazuma characters. Yae's Elemental Skill allows her to move rapidly leaving behind stacks of "Lethal Sakura" that periodically deal damage to one nearby enemy target. This type of skill means that she could also be a great fit for the sub-DPS role. Yae's elemental burst will cause lightning and thunder dealing AoE electro damage. When the burst is used, she releases all Lethal Sakura nearby which will morph into Tenko Thunderstrike dealing AoE electro damage.

As for her talent ascension materials, multiple leaks confirm that she will be using items dropped by La Signora. Even though she was rumored to be released alongside another popular character, the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato, it seems like miHoYo decided to delay his arrival once again.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
