Genshin Impact updates are divided into two parts which have their unique banners featuring one or two five-star and three four-star characters. The ongoing Genshin Impact 2.6 banner has brought back the Cryo sword user Ayaka and three popular four-star characters.

In order to acquire the limited banner characters, players are required to spend their Primogems or Intertwined Fates on the banner. After a three-week delay, Genshin Impact will finally introduce the long-awaited Version 2.7 and its two banners.

The official Genshin Impact Version 2.7 livestream event has already revealed that the two limited five-star characters, Yelan and Xiao, will arrive on the first banner cycle of the update. The Genshin Impact Twitter account has finally confirmed the three four-star characters that will appear on the upcoming double banner alongside Yelan and Xiao. The first banner cycle will include the following characters:

  • Yelan - five-star Hydro bow character.
  • Xiao - five-star Anemo polearm character.
  • Yanfei - four-star Pyro catalyst character.
  • Barbara - four-star Hydro catalyst character.
  • Noelle - four-star Geo claymore character.

A big part of the community does not seem to be too happy about the four-star lineup on the banner, and multiple replies in the comment section claim that they will most likely skip this banner and save their Primogems for future characters. Constellation levels are a big part of a character's kit, and they can be leveled by acquiring by pulling for multiple copies of a specific character. A lot of players claim that they've already maxed out constellation levels both for Barbara and Noelle, which means that they have no use for another copy of those characters.

However, the three four-star characters can be a decent addition for most team compositions. Barbara and Noelle are two very strong Genshin Impact healers, especially if players managed to get them to their C6 level. Yanfei is a Pyro DPS character who can be useful for players that lack Pyro damage in their party lineup.

Many fans were surprised when developer HoYoverse announced that the Anemo user Xiao will receive another re-run considering that he has already had a re-run back in January during Genshin Impact Version 2.4. Yelan is the only new character on this banner, and she will probably be the main reason for players to spend their Primogems on it. Her role in a team composition is still unknown, but according to the livestream event, she will be a decent sub-DPS or support character.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
