On Genshin Impact's official Facebook page, miHoYo has revealed some new items coming to the game with the next update. Set to launch on September 1, 2021, Genshin's update 2.1 will have new events, more story, additional characters, and more. Further, miHoYo has shown off some interesting weapons for players to collect.

Very early this morning, Genshin Impact devs miHoYo shared four new weapons that will be added to the game after update 2.1 launches. While some are connected to events, others will be part of the limited-time banners like the new upcoming characters Baal and Kujou Sara. Two of these new weapons that were revealed were polearms, one is a claymore, and the last is Aloy's bow.

The first weapon revealed was a five-star polearm, most likely to compliment Raiden Shogun, who is an Electro Polearm user. This polearm will be an event exclusive weapon, and will not appear in the basic Wish banner. Since this polearm focuses mostly on energy recharge, attack power, and recharge after using Burst, players will be able to focus even more on Baal's ability to recharge the whole team like a battery. Not to mention the weapon has a beautiful aesthetic that will match up well with Baal's look.

The second polearm is a four-star fishing-themed bident called The Catch. It will only be available through the Inazuma Fishing Association, which will be a big part of the Genshin Impact fishing game that is being added in the next update. This polearm also focuses on energy recharge as well as attack, making it a fabulous support weapon for Xiangling or other support characters.

The Claymore is probably the silliest of all the weapons seen in Genshin Impact so far, and it has been immensely popular in the comments sections of the announcement. This very dried out fish doles out some heavy damage while making a great snack if anyone on the team gets hungry. This strange looking weapon has an additional damage bonus when players use their Elemental Bursts; it slaps the enemies in the face with tuna that deals additional AoE damage.

Lastly, Aloy will be coming to Genshin Impact soon through the Horizon: Forbidden West crossover event, and update 2.1 will also be bringing her bow to the world of Teyvat. This weapon will be handed out for free to anyone playing on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. Players can use the bow on any platform, but the "Strong Strike" effect only works on PlayStations. This bow gives additional power to Cryo bow users, so players will be able to get the most out of it when it is equipped to Aloy, Diona, or Ganyu.

Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, PS4, or PS5.
