A Genshin Impact fan has shared a map concept for one of the game's major regions named Fontaine. The world of Teyvat consists of seven different continents, each of which has its divine ideals and an Archon who serves as its main protector. At the moment, only four of these regions are explorable: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and the recently added Sumeru nation.

Over the last couple of weeks, multiple leaks have revealed more information about Fontaine which is expected to be the next major region to arrive to Genshin Impact. These leaks have inspired many players to create their own concepts about the region's characters and locations.

Reddit user drawricks has created an interesting map concept for the upcoming Fontaine region, and it attracted over 400 upvotes on the game's official subreddit. Many fans claim that at first they actually thought that Fontaine's official map got leaked which would not come as a surprise considering all the recent leaks about the new Genshin Impact region. A couple of comments have stated that they like the fact that drawrcks even named some of the locations in their concept such as Fontaine City, Montagne Royale, and Lage Elegant. The main city is placed on a river which makes sense considering that Fontaine's symbolic element is Hydro.

Some fans have pointed out that the shape of the region is very reminiscent of the state of Illinois. Every region in Genshin Impact is based on a real-life location and rumors claim that Fontaine is apparently inspired by France. Recent beta leaks have revealed that the main city of Fontaine will be attached to a vertical platform, and it would include multiple waterfalls.

Some leakers named the model "Steampunk City" which means that the whole region could have a steampunk theme. Some players claim that they would like to see a Hydro character that has a steam-based kit. When it comes to playable characters, recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed 10 new playable units, most of which will be tied with the Fontaine region.

The only three confirmed characters are probably Lyney, Lynette, and Fontaine's Hydro Archon. The first two have already made an appearance in the game's official story teaser back in 2020. The Hydro Archon Focalors, also known as the God of Justice, will probably be one of the main characters in the new region, and she's rumored to be a new claymore user in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
