While the majority of Genshin Impact's achievements are tied to combat-based challenges and quests, there are several that are unlocked by obtaining a variety of collectible sets throughout the world. In the Mortal Travails series of achievements, there are a total of 4 book sets that players must find in order to complete the group and unlock the Explorer namecard. While most of Genshin Impact's achievement series' will take players several hours to complete, the achievements in the Mortal Travails series can be completed relatively quickly and do not rely on any RNG.
In the Moonlit Bamboo Forest book series, there are a total of 4 volumes that players must collect in order to complete the set. Unlike the Legend of the Shattered Halberd series, which required players to collect 6 volumes, completing the Moonlit Bamboo Forest series is a more streamlined affair.
The first volume of the series can be found by traveling to Qingce Village in Northern Liyue. To find the volume, teleport to the central waypoint that is located west of the Oceanid boss location. From the waypoint, walk inside Granny Ruoxin's home. Inside, players will find the volume on top of a table in between two vases.
Volumes two and three of the series can be obtained by traveling to the waypoint nearest Mingxing Jewelry in Liyue harbor. For those unfamiliar with the city, Mingxing Jewelry's location is identified on the map of Liyue Harbor by a small icon of a gem.
From the waypoint, walk across the main street and travel up the red staircase on the opposite side. At the top of the staircase players will find the Wanwen Bookhouse shopkeeper Jifang who sells each volume for 1500 mora. Players should also make sure to check for any other book volumes that Jifang has for sale, as volumes 1, 4, and 5 of the Shattered Halberd series are also sold at this shop.
The fourth and final volume in the series can be found at the Wangshu Inn. To find the volume, fast travel to the upper levels of the Wangshu Inn. From the waypoint head inside the building and proceed down the staircase one level. In the same room as Verr Goldet, the Boss of the Wangshu Inn, players will find the final volume on top of a table.
After obtaining the final volume, players will unlock the "Spring, White Horse and Moonlight" achievement for completing the entire set. Additionally, players will be rewarded with 5 primogems for unlocking the achievement.
Genshin Impact is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, with a Switch version in development.
