A new post on the official Genshin Impact subreddit shows why the new deserts are Fatui Agent's worst enemy. Map extensions are always the main focus of each update in the game along with the new character additions they bring.

Genshin Impact update 3.1 has introduced the game's first desert parts which quickly became a fan-favorite. The new type of terrain features a number of interesting details including character footprints that can be left by playable characters as well as enemies.

Reddit user Onepiece285 has shared an interesting video showing how to fight the Fatui Agent in the new Sumeru deserts. This is an Elite enemy in Genshin Impact who has the ability to become invisible and attack players by surprise. However, their silhouette can be visible if they are affected by certain elements or if they walk on a certain type of terrain. The video shows that if players fight the Fatui Agent in the new Sumeru deserts, they can easily keep track of his movement during the invisibility phase thanks to the sand trails. The video gathered over 5k upvotes with many players claiming that they will certainly use this trick next time they fight this enemy.

Killing the Fatui Agent while he is in stealth mode will grant players an achievement named "...Till Debt Do Us Part" which belongs to the Wonders of the World category. A couple of mobile users in the comment section have revealed that they cannot use this trick as there are no footprints in the sand in some mobile versions of Genshin Impact.

The new Dendro nation is widely considered the best addition to the game so far as it took the game's exploration experience to the next level. The first Sumeru update brought a new rainforest along with the game's first Dendro characters. Genshin Impact update 3.1 has introduced Teyvat's first desert which is filled with various temples and domains that play an important part in the main storyline.

According to recent leaks, the next update won't add any new regions, but it will feature the long-awaited Dendro Archon on one of its banners. Rumors claim that players will have to wait for update 3.3 for a new part of Sumeru to unlock which is expected to be another desert located west of the rainforest. The same update could finally bring one of the Fatui Harbingers, Scaramouche, to the playable roster.

Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
