Genshin Impact recently revealed that the Wanderer (also known as Scaramouche or Balladeer) and another character named Faruzan would become playable in version 3.3. This has gotten plenty of players excited, even though there isn’t a lot of information on them yet. However, there have been quite a few leaks circulating, revealing most of Faruzan’s kit.
Given that these are only leaks, they may still be subject to change before Genshin Impact officially releases Faruzan. Still, it gives the player a good idea of what to expect for the upcoming 3.3 Banners.
Genshin Impact Faruzan Leaks and Other Information
In Faruzan’s official Genshin Impact reveal, she’s described as an “Enigmatic Machinist” and a “Haravatat Household Name.” This points to her being a well-known figure in Sumeru, perhaps similar to Kaveh who is a renowned architect. According to her longer description, Faruzan is somewhat of a legend among the students of the Sumeru Akademiya, as she’s happy to help students who’ve been shunned by their tutors.
Like Scaramouche, Faruzan is believed to wield Anemo, but with a bow instead of a catalyst. She’s also reportedly a 4-Star character. Faruzan’s entire kit in Genshin Impact has also been leaked. Her normal attacks are similar to Venti’s, instead with four consecutive shots instead of six. Her Elemental Skill has her deploy a “polyhedron,” which appears to be a large machine that deals AoE Anemo damage. The Skill also affects her next Charged Attack, which will then deal extra damage and pull other opponents toward the Charged Attack’s point of impact.
What’s strange, however, is that the leak lists her Elemental Skill Cooldown Rate at 600 seconds. In comparison, the character with the longest Elemental Skill Cooldown Rate in the game is Barbara at 32 seconds. Whether this is a mistake in Genshin Impact remains to be seen. But if 600 seconds is her actual Cooldown Rate, it’s going to spell bad news for players who are looking to main her.
Meanwhile, Faruzan’s Elemental Burst has her deploy the polyhedron again. Except this time, it moves around in a triangular path, regularly dealing AoE Anemo damage. Any enemies that are hit will suffer from decreased Anemo Resistance. On the flip side, nearby characters will be granted a Genshin Impact Anemo Damage Bonus.
Finally, her Constellations are pretty useful. Her C2 increases the duration of her Elemental Burst, while her C6 makes the buff also increase other characters’ Crit Damage by 40%. These make Faruzan’s Genshin Impact gameplay most suited to the support or off-field damage dealer role. Though this still doesn’t solve the problem of the potentially 600-second Elemental Skill Cooldown Rate.
Aside from leaks about her kit, there are also a few about Faruzan’s role in Genshin Impact’s world of Teyvat. According to user BLANK, a known leaker, Faruzan is currently a professor at the Sumeru Akademiya. She has a special condition that “makes her stuck in the past,” which resulted from prolonged exposure to the powers of King Deshret (a former God-King of Sumeru, otherwise known as the Scarlet King). Because of this, talking to her gives people “a glimpse of Sumeru in the past.”
Another leak by user UBatcha reveals one of Cyno’s voicelines about Faruzan. Genshin Impact character Cyno had reportedly been looking into Faruzan’s disappearance for quite some time, but he’d chalked it up to her conducting dangerous research. When he finally met Faruzan, however, he “completely abandoned that idea,” saying that she reminded him of a kind yet talkative parent figure.
Faruzan is set to release around the first week of December, when Genshin Impact update 3.3 drops. Players are excited to get to try her as her kit makes her a promising Anemo support character. She’ll most likely also play a part in the story, maybe with a Hangout Event too.
