When Genshin Impact players arrive in Inazuma, there is an overwhelming amount of sidequests and activities for them to uncover and complete. One of the first sidequest chains that Genshin Impact players may stumble upon is "A Strange Story in Konda."
In this side quest, Genshin Impact players are tasked with uncovering the secret the people of Konda village are trying to hide. To start the side quest, head to the Konda village waypoint and speak with Kazari.
After speaking with Kazari, players must use an Electro character's ability/burst on the fox statue. Using this ability will activate the statue and grant players a "ward" that will allow them to progress further into the quest.
Once players have obtained the ward, they must then head to Konda and interview the village locals about any strange occurrences. To continue the quest, speak with Futaba, Konda Densuke, Takeru and Saimon Eri.
After speaking with each of the aforementioned villagers, players will now have three clues relating to strange occurrences that they must investigate. The three sites that players must investigate include a cart to the north of Konda, a crate on the river to the east, and a well behind Konda Densuke's house.
Players will receive a clue upon investigating each of the sites. After completing each investigation, return to Konda Densuke, and submit each of the clues received from each investigation site.
Once the player has confronted Konda Densuke with the evidence, they must then obtain his diary located on the roof of his house. The diary will reveal the key to opening the well which is located in an abandoned house east of Konda.
At this location, players must first defeat a small group of thieves before they are able to dig the ground at the abandoned house to obtain the "old key."
Return to the well, and interact with the lock with the old key. Once the well has been opened players can now descend into it.
Once inside, players will find an exquisite chest and a breakable wall to the right. After breaking the wall, continue down the long corridor before reaching a large room.
In the large room, players must interact with the electrogranum summoner in order to proceed through the purple barrier.
After proceeding through the purple barrier, players will reach a large Tori Gate. Interact with the small shrine in front of the gate and purify it with the ward obtained at the start of the quest.
To complete the Genshin Impact puzzle players must set the shrines in the order they appear on the constellation from bottom to top. Once players have set the shrines in order from 1-5, pray at the initial shrine one final time to trigger a mini-boss fight.
After completing the boss fight, players will have completed this first portion of the side quest chain. However, before exiting the well players should make sure to obtain the "rust worn key" located behind the purple barrier to the east of the Tori gate as it will be required later on in the quest chain.
