Exploring the world is probably one of the main draws in Genshin Impact. Each region brings something to explore, so it's alwasy exciting when a new one is added to the game.

Genshin Impact offers a large and diverse world, from the high mountains of Liyue and Inazuma to the plains of Mondstadt. It seems like miHoYo will hand out some additional exploration rewards besides the usual chests.

Finding chests in Genshin Impact is one of the most exciting things in the world of Teyvat. Opening those chests usually rewards players with valuable items such as Primogems. Currently, there are only four types of chests: Common, Exquisite, Precious, and Luxurious. However, it seems as though miHoYo will introduce one more type in the upcoming updates. According to multiple credible Genshin Impact leakers, players will be able to find new "Junk chests." There will apparently be at least 82 of these chests and each of them will grant 10 to 15K of Mora.

The leaks claim that this type of chest will be only obtainable in the region Enkanomiya which is yet to arrive to the live servers. Even though there is a lot of expectations and hype surrounding the official announcement of Shenhe and Yun Jin, the addition of a new region surely stole the show. Enkanomiya will apparently be a vertical map similar to Dragonspine which has multiple layers of explorable terrain. A recent map leak has revealed that there is not much distance between Enkanomiya's teleport waypoints which is usually the case for vertical parts of Teyvat.

The same leaker has previously revealed that Enkanomiya could work similarly to the limited Goldern Apple Archipelago region which was part of the 1.6 update. This region introduced a fresh new experience that brought back one of the game's main draws, which is exploration. Running around, finding secrets and exploring the story behind the islands was some of the most enjoyable content players have experienced in the game so far. This region introduced the game's first costumes as well as the first Klee banner re-run.

Developer miHoYo could decide to make Enkanomiya limited only for Genshin Impact update 2.4, though that hasn't been confirmed at the time of this writing. Making this region exclusive to one update will certainly attract more attention from players who wouldn't want to miss out on the exploring, but could result in some backlash as well. In any case, Genshin Impact fans will have to stay tuned for more concrete details.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
