Genshin Impact has just wrapped up its second major long-form event, dubbed The Chalk Prince and the Dragon. This Version 1.2 centerpiece featured the five-star character Albedo and a new event-exclusive weapon, but now that it's over, players are focusing on other tasks, like the new Lost Riches event.

Travelers are now taking part in this new treasure-seeking event while they await Version 1.3 of Genshin Impact and other updates, like the character Ganyu. However, it appears that the game's developer miHoYo has decided to spice things up again this week with a new free promo code.

Fans of Genshin Impact are definitely no strangers to promo codes, as miHoYo distributes them more frequently than not. That being said, promo codes are often simple or small-scale bundles in this game. While some of the best codes include over 100 Primogems, miHoYo will often gift players a small sum of around 50 Primogems. This new code is unique in that it's both limited time, and task-based so players who want to claim these Primogems will need to think quick and think hard.

Paimon is presenting Travelers with a short (one-question) quiz on miHoYo's new website, HoYoLAB, and those with the correct answer will be able to decipher a Mysterious Redemption Code's missing character. For a chance at 50 Primogems, the quiz simply presents players with the code: "_UUPMBJSVD" and asks players what Ganyu's favorite hobby is. Those who are familiar with Plenilune Gaze Ganyu already know that the answer is simple: work. Ganyu the cocogoat lives to work, and as such, the correct answer, "C," completes the promo code.

As always, players will want to head to miHoYo's official Genshin Impact site and click on "Redeem Code" at the top right. Once logged in, players simply need to enter the code "CUUPMBJSVD" and redeem the Primogems. A message should display confirming successful redemption, and rewards will immediately appear in-game.

The number of codes, and their "validity period," are both limited, so players are encouraged to redeem this code ASAP. This promo code is also particularly exciting because of a few subtle implications. Namely, it means miHoYo is testing out unique ways to release limited-batch promos with some sort of time-gate, to prevent the code from reaching its max redemption limit seconds upon release. This should be welcomed by any players who might've tried redeeming Primogems during miHoYo livestreams, for example. The codes dropped during these streams have expired so notoriously fast, that miHoYo has ended up re-releasing the codes shortly thereafter on most occasions.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
