In Genshin Impact's Dragonspine region, players must contend with freezing temperatures, hostile new enemy types, and a variety of challenging puzzles scattered across the zone. Unlike the puzzles featured in Genshin Impact's Mondstadt and Liyue regions, the puzzles found in Dragonspine can prove significantly more challenging due to players' constantly dropping temperature gauge.
Along the eastern coast of Dragonspine, players may have encountered a strange puzzle involving a locked cryo totem, in addition to multiple torches and heating totems. While most torch puzzles in Genshin Impact simply require players to light all of the torches in the nearby vicinity, this puzzle found on the coast is slightly different.
To complete the puzzle, players must use the Fire Seelie hidden in the area and guide him to each of the torches in the correct order. As players guide the Seelie from torch to torch, they will find that he will unlock each of the heating totems in the area along the way.
It is important to note that in order to complete this puzzle players must use a pyro-spec character to light the various torches. To start the puzzle, head to the north end of the shore and melt the ice block that is next to the capsized boat.
After melting the ice block, a hidden torch will be revealed. Light the torch and wait for the Fire Seelie to be drawn to it. After the Seelie arrives, light the torch to the southwest, on the opposite side of the lake. When players light the torch, the Fire Seelie will cross the lake and unlock a heating totem along the way.
Once the Seelie has reached the opposite side of the lake, light the second torch on the north side. The Fire Seelie will cross the lake, however, he will not unlock any heating totems during this phase.
From the current torch, light the torch on the opposite side of the lake that is nearest to the two pyro mages. As the Fire Seelie crosses the lake, he will unlock an additional heating totem.
Finally, shoot the totem to the southwest one more time in order for the Fire Seelie to unlock the final heating totem. Once the final heating totem is unlocked, the cryo totem in the center of the lake will unlock.
In order to activate the totem, players must use the ability of a cryo spec character. If players have a ranged cryo character such as Ganyu, they can easily activate the totem from a distance. If the player does not have any ranged cryo characters, shoot the ice barrels in the center of the lake and then activate the totem with a melee cryo user such as Kaeya.
Once the cryo totem has been unlocked, two common chests and one precious chest will spawn. Players will receive primogems in addition to a variety of artifacts and character ascension materials for completing this short puzzle.
