Genshin Impact players continue to impress with their dedication to the game, as some hunt for subtle in-game details and share them online. While players who experienced the beta version have heard whispers of a future housing feature for some time, it seems that some sort of reference to it may already exist in-game.

Travelers are already hammering down material-farming routes and boss techniques for Genshin Impact, but even still, the game has only been out for one month now. This mobile/PS4 hit has experienced rather frequent updates, as many such games do, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, promising to introduce features like faster travel, and even housing.

One of the features that miHoYo committed to eventually bringing to the table was some sort of housing feature. The specifics are entirely unknown, but players have been long aware of the fact that a housing feature will be one of many new things coming Genshin Impact in the future. Now, it seems that players have found an in-game reference to the upcoming feature.

It seems that a roaming Genshin Impact NPC contains a tease at this feature. This character tells players that they seem very busy, but, he may take them on as a sort of carpentry apprentice if he's "still around" when they're done finishing up what they're "busy with." He also mentions the joy felt when transforming a chunk of raw timber into something more illustrious, so players are theorizing that he'll help players transform collected timber into furniture items, or buildings, perhaps.

Players can already perform alchemy, as well as craft powerful Artifacts or weapons like claymores and catalysts. Not to mention, even Genshin Impact's inspiration, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, featured a delightful quest allowing players to start a small village as Link. So it certainly wouldn't be out of the question to see something like this come into play.

Regardless of this feature though, Genshin Impact players already know to expect a better form of fast travel in the future, and new characters including Zhongli, Childe, and Xiao. Moreover, events like the Marvelous Merchandise event are still underway in-game, so players have more than enough at hand for the time being. And whether there's future furniture crafting or not, there will be content for Travelers to explore.

Genshin Impact is available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for Switch.
