Genshin Impact is looking for special fan feedback about its newest five-star character after she has been met with significant controversy and negative reception. The Version 3.5 update for HoYoverse's massively popular RPG brought with it the game's newest five-star character in Dehya, one fans had been waiting to see added to the game. Dehya features prominently throughout the Archon Quests for the game's Sumeru region, appearing as early as Version 3.0 in the main story. However, her gameplay has been the subject of strong criticism from players.

Dehya has been universally panned by Genshin Impact players for the perceived strength of the character on release. Fans have claimed that Dehya's launch comes with a shockingly low power level, feeling that the character may have been nerfed due to her impending inclusion in the game's permanent rotation. Dehya players have also discovered a number of bugs with the character's abilities, often causing her Elemental Burst to be canceled early and improperly target enemies. Now, HoYoverse is taking feedback about Dehya with a special survey for players.

An update posted to the Dehya Mains subreddit reveals HoYoverse has opened a special feedback form through its forums to address Dehya's problems. The survey asks in-depth questions about each parts of the character's kit, specifically asking for information about Dehya's individual attacks and abilities. The feedback form can be found through the in-game feedback link under the "Key Focus" and "Special Categories: Part 2" sections. The survey will remain open through the conclusion of Genshin Impact's Version 3.5 update.

Dehya's underpowered state on release comes as the character was confirmed to be the second character since the Sumeru update to join Genshin Impact's standard rotation. Dehya joins the game's first five-star Dendro character in Tighnari along with the previous lineup, becoming the seventh character on the standard banner. She will also become the second Pyro Claymore user featured on the standard banner, joining the previously included Diluc. Genshin Impact's permanent five-star character rotation notably does not include a permanent Geo character.

Dehya's notorious power level problems and bugs have made a clear impact on the success of the character's banner, officially concluding earlier this week. Dehya's banner, along with the coinciding Cyno re-run, finished as one of the lowest-grossing gacha banners in Genshin Impact's history. Dehya's struggles come as a stark contrast to HoYoverse's success as of late with Genshin Impact's banners, breaking the top-selling banner record multiple times in recent updates. Fans can hope that Dehya's survey will lead to improvements to the character during future patches.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
