Genshin Impact is full of memorable character designs, and fans have quickly latched onto their own personal favorites. Diluc Ragnvindr is a top tier Genshin Impact character in terms of both power and popularity, so Diluc fans who enjoy cosplay may wonder how to tackle his costume. As a wealthy nobleman, Diluc is indeed dapper, but his costume doesn't need to break the bank.
In order to have a "perfectly" accurate cosplay, one would need to put quite a bit time and money into the endeavor. Genshin Impact designs do tend to have lots of small details. However, a costume can still be impressive and recognizable even without every single detail. Even though many conventions are on hold currently, fans can still get to work on their outfits. Cosplaying is a fun, creative hobby, and it's always satisfying to try on an outfit once all the pieces are assembled.
Main Outfit
Diluc's outfit looks very elaborate a first glance, but it's actually less complex than it seems once cosplayers break down the pieces. His trousers are very basic black slacks, which are commonly owned and easy to find. His top is a black collared shirt, which can also be found easily in a thrift shop, on Amazon, or even in most people's own closet. The white vest on top might be a bit harder to track down, but online shops will make the search simpler.
Any tall black boots could serve well as his shoes; while Diluc's boots have some customization, shoes are not typically the focal point of a cosplay. This black-heavy wardrobe fits Diluc's personality, and also makes it a bit easier to find existing clothes for the outfit. The most complex part of Diluc's design is his jacket. A thrifted black trench coat could serve as a base, but some sewing knowledge would be helpful if cosplayers want to sew on the furred edges and epaulets.
Accessories
For crafting accents and Diluc's Vision, one common tool cosplayers use is Model Magic clay. It's cheap and a bit fragile, but as long as it doesn't take too many hits, Model Magic is surprisingly effective. When it comes to wigs, it's recommended to buy from established cosplay wig shops. Epic Cosplay's Nyx wig in dark red could easily be styled into Diluc's ponytail. There are character-specific wig listings floating around on the web, but shoppers should always look at reviews and other sites to make sure they're buying from a legit seller. The black straps on top of Diluc's vest and pants could be crafted out of repurposed belts. His gloves are a bit special as they're two-toned, but a pair of black gloves could be customized with red fabric.
Cosplay is often an expensive hobby, but it depends on which characters the cosplayer chooses and how dedicated they are to all of the details. Out of the many characters in Genshin Impact, Diluc is actually one of the easier designs to emulate. It'll still take a little money and perhaps a lot of effort, but fans can still represent their favorite Darknight Hero.
