A Genshin Impact fan-made equips one of the two main characters, Lumine, with her brother's outfit. At the start of each playthrough, players fight a mysterious character named the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles where they have to choose if Aether or Lumine will become their main character.

After one of them is chosen, the main goal in their Genshin Impact journey becomes to find their long-lost sibling. Since the game was officially released back in 2020, players have been debating about who the canon main character is. However, HoYoverse has never released an official statement on the matter and both of these characters have been featured in the game's official artworks and promotional videos.

A Reddit user named YellowCorvette has shared an interesting fan-made concept in which they have equipped Lumine's character model with Aether's outfit. Many fans seem to like the concept as the post reached over 700 upvotes with a lot of comments praising the way the artist managed to combine the two characters. Even though Aether and Lumine are the main characters in the story of Genshin Impact, most players actually avoid using them in their team compositions since their kits are underwhelming. Despite being categorized as five-star characters, these two units are generally weaker than most four-star units in the game.

A lot of fans claim that the Dendro Traveler is the only viable version of the main character in the game. However, with the recent releases of new Dendro users, the Traveler is being used less with every new update. Since the game was released back in 2020, fans have been asking HoYoverse to add new skins for Aether and Lumine that would increase their popularity and overall pick rate.

While players would still probably avoid using them in harder domains like the Spiral Abyss, a lot of them would be happy to explore the overworld with region-themed outfits. Every nation in Genshin Impact is inspired by a real-life location and culture and a big part of the community claims that having regional skins would improve the overall immersion when exploring a new region.

Recently a Genshin Impact fan created two impressive Mondstadt-themed skins that gathered a lot of attention in the community. A lot of players claim that while they would never spend money or Primogems on other outfits, they would definitely try to acquire skin for the two main characters since they are constantly appearing in Genshin Impact's main cutscenes.

Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
