Genshin Impact is a free-to-play, open-world, action RPG, gacha game released in September 2020 on PC, PS4, Android, and iOS. The game takes place in the colorful world of Teyvat, home to seven different nations that are all tied to a specific element. And while the player controls and follows the story of the Traveler, the protagonist, they can play as many other interesting heroes.

He has something going on within called congenital positivity, which makes his entire body heat up due to an overwhelming amount of positive energy. While Chongyun tends to have disastrous mood shifts (overly friendly, illogical, excitable) thanks to his condition, he also uses it to fend off evil spirits anywhere and everywhere he goes. It is his greatest asset.

This is what Chongyun's in-game character attributes text reads in Genshin Impact. He is an outstanding exorcist but Chongyun is hard on himself because of how easy it is for him to perform his duties (in relation to his special ability). He refuses to go outside in pure daylight, wear warm clothing, and drink hot beverages and eat spicy foods for fear of overheating. Chongyun also refrains from arguing with others or getting angry in general.
When he does go off, Chongyun enters a manic state and causes chaos to everyone and everything around him. Following the aftermath, he is always upset and apologetic for his wild behavior; Chongyun does not even remember the havoc he unleashed.

It is not hard to believe Chongyun is introverted with just one look at him. He wears a white, embroidered hoodie, a blue-and-gold shirt, a dark blue undershirt, and white pants with gold cuffs. Chongyun accessorizes with bandages on one of his wrists and one of his ankles as well as a belt containing a crystal orb (his Vision). He also prefers chilling with a pair of black-and-gold slippers.
As for his appearance, Chongyun is young and it shows. He is a teenager with light blue messy hair, light skin, and light blue eyes.
7 Chongyun Has Spooky, Chilling Talents
Whether it is a Hilichurl or a demon from the depths of hell, Chongyun will take care of it. He freezes his foes to death with the element of Cryo then slices them up with his sharp Claymore.
Chongyun's normal attack is called Demonbane; his elemental skill is Spirit Blade: Chonghua's Layered Frost; Chongyun's elemental burst is Spirit Blade: Cloud-Parting Star; his first Ascension passive talent is Steady Breathing; Chongyun's fourth Ascension passive is Rimechaser Blade; and his utility passive talent is Gallant Journey.

To level up a character's talents, the player needs to acquire numerous materials. When it comes to Chongyun, he likes Teachings of Diligence, Guide to Diligence, and Philosophies of Diligence; Chongyun also prefers Damaged Mask, Stained Mask, and Ominous Mask; and he is a fan of Dvalin's Sigh.
When it comes to Ascension, Chongyun wants lots of Shivada Jade (Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, Gemstone), Hoarfrost Core, Cor Lapis, and more Masks (whether they are Damaged, Stained, or Ominous). It is uncertain whether he uses these masks to hide his face (and therefore his emotions) or because they are made of bone (since Chongyun is an exorcist and all).

Nubis Caesor is the name of Chongyun's constellation, the character progression system. Each constellation is unlocked with a Stella Fortuna (which is only obtainable through pulling duplicates via Wishes).
If the player decides to invest in him, Chongyun will be able to sick even more blades upon his opponents, whether they are of the ice or spirit variety. From levels one to six, they are Ice Unleashed, Atmospheric Revolution, Cloudburst, Frozen Skies, The True Path, and Rally of Four Blades.
4 Chongyun Has Never Seen A Ghost
The nation of Liyue, where Chongyun is based, has a long history containing many rumors and myths when it comes to ghosts and demons. He, along with his family of exorcists, dedicate their lives to expelling these evil spirits that haunt the people of their homeland.
That being said, Chongyun has literally never seen a ghost. Not even one. His natural ability (pure-yang) is so powerful that they flee before he can get close enough to catch a glimpse.
While he is indeed strong, Chongyun feels he is too strong. Chongyun constantly agonizes over not being a "true" exorcist because he does not even need to use charms or fight evil spirits to get rid of them. Despite this, Chongyun still studies the art of exorcism and practices martial arts daily.
3 Chongyun Likes His Food Cold
Cold Noodles with Mountain Delicacies is a special food item that the player has a chance to cook up by making Noodles with Mountain Delicacies with Chongyun. It is his favorite dish and specialty, made with mushrooms, raw meat, and flour.
According to the game, "Though these springy noodles would be irresistible in the sweltering summer, Chongyun insists on dining on them even in the chattering cold of winter. What a guy."
2 Chongyun Always Helps Those In Need
Time and time again, the people of Liyue are terrorized by ghosts and demons. So, naturally, someone has to step up to the plate and step in to save them whenever necessary.
If the player talks to Hongyu, a member of the Millelith stationed at Feiyun Slope, he will mention that Chongyun once saved him from an evil spirit in his house. Another instance is when the player completes the quest Wangshu; if they talk to Smiley Yanxiao, a chef at Wangshu Inn, he will mention that Chongyun has his boss' back if another evil spirit appears. Aside from these, if the player checks out the Bulletin Board in Qingce Village, Zhi will mention how one time Chongyun rescued her from falling into an abyss.
