A Genshin Impact player has encountered an interesting bug that allows them to travel the world of Teyvat with Paimon by their side. Glitches have become very common in the game which should not come as a surprise considering that each new update brings loads of new content including new regions, playable characters, and exciting events.

Apart from the two Travelers, Lumine and Aether, who serve as the main protagonists in Genshin Impact, the most popular character in the community is probably Paimon. This unique fairy-like creature gets introduced to the game at the start of each playthrough, and she helps Travelers in their quest to find their lost sibling.

Paimon serves as the face of Genshin Impact, and she's even displayed on the game's launcher icon. Reddit user AnAsianDudeInReddit has shared a set of interesting in-game screenshots showing Paimon floating next to Lumine in multiple locations all over the new Sumeru region. Since the game arrived back in September 2020, players have been asking HoYoverse to allow Paimon to be displayed on the screen while they are exploring the world. However, it seems as though the only way to accomplish this is by triggering this very rare bug. Click here to see the full Reddit thread.

A couple of screenshots reveal that the glitch allows Paimon to float next to Lumine even while she's gliding through the sky. There has always been a lot of mystery around this character who just appeared in the game without any real explanation. A very popular fan-made theory claims that Paimon could be the unknown god known as Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, who appeared in the game's very first cutscene. Players have noted that they look somewhat similar, at least when it comes to their hair and overall color theme.

Another popular theory states that Paimon could be one of the three moon sisters, Canon, Sonnet, and Aria. They are considered to be some of the oldest creatures in Teyvat as the official storyline confirmed that they are older than one of the seven Archons, Morax, also known as the God of Contracts.

Some comments have praised the Redditor's ability to capture the true beauty of the new Sumeru region which quickly became a fan-favorite. The new main nation has taken the game's overall exploration experience to the next level with a much more interactive world. The region is yet to be completely unlocked as recent rumors revealed that another desert part of Sumeru is on its way.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
