The world offered to players in Genshin Impact is massive with there being lots of things for fans to discover. Among these things are various treasures that players can hunt for in order to help their characters grow.
One elusive treasure for many players is the special treasure located somewhere within Brightcrown Canyon in Mondstadt. Despite being in a relatively early place for Genshin Impact players to explore, it may be a bit tricky to find. This will only be available for those participating in the Lost Riches event that is currently active in-game.
In order to be able to participate in this limited event, players will need to be at least Adventure Rank 20 and have completed Archon Quest Prologue: Act I - The Outlander Who Caught the Wind. While going through this event, players will eventually get a hint about a Special Treasure that is "in the vicinity of Brightcrown Canyon."
Players will want to make their way to Brightcrown Canyon. The best way to travel there is by using the teleport waypoint located in the area and start traveling west from it. They will want to look for an old bell attached with a glowing spot underneath it. By using this spot, players will be able to begin a challenge.
This challenge will require players to defeat two enemies while not being frozen over three times. Because of this, players should not attempt this challenge while it is raining in-game. To make the battle go as smoothly as possible, players are recommended to use characters with fire abilities.
After the battle is dealt with, players will be awarded three copies of Hero's Wit, 60 Primogems, 30,000 Mora, and six pieces of Mystic Enhancement Ore. This is the special treasure and it doesn't need to be taken out of any chest or container that spawns after the battle.
The two enemies are Cryo Abyss Mages, meaning that players will need to destroy their Cryo shields as they attack with Cryo-based magic. If players don't have a Pyro character that is capable of melting the shields, the battle will start to take a long time and may result in the player getting frozen more times than what is allowed by the challenge.
Players in Genshin Impact only have until January 18th, 2021 to participate in the Lost Riches event. Because of this, players who want to take advantage of the event's helpful rewards are recommended to get on the hunt as soon as they can.
Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5 and is in development for Switch.
