Kazuha is the first character that hails from Inazuma. He was released in Genshin Impact 1.6 along with Klee's rerun. Though initially underestimated, Kazuha has proven to be an invaluable addition to Genshin Impact’s meta alongside popular characters like Bennett and Xingqiu.

His appeal lies in his ability to offer strong support to his teammates and deal substantial DMG. Additionally, Kazuha's unique Elemental Skill, which launches him into midair, can be incredibly useful in non-combat situations. Of course, To make the most out of his supportive abilities, players must find the best characters to pair with Kazuha in Genshin Impact.

Updated March 13, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Kazuha has come a long way since his first release in version 1.6. His viability is currently reduced due to Sumeru content being Dendro-focused, but he's still as viable as ever. The reason why Kazuha doesn't fit well with Dendro is the fact that the plant-element can't be Swirled; the Wandering Samurai is also mediocre in a Bloom team, so he's limited to only being an Electro buffer in a Quicken team. Fortunately, though, outside Dendro, there are still a lot of characters that Kazuha can pair with in his Genshin Impact team comp.

Best Characters To Pair With Kazuha In Genshin Impact

As a Support, Kazuha's DMG output heavily relies on Anemo reactions. The Swirl reaction occurs when Anemo interacts with an aura element, which includes Hydro, Cryo, Electro, and Pyro. However, Swirl also has a unique feature where it can occur when Kazuha is affected by an aura Element.

Aloy

Aloy is one of the units that heavily relies on Kazuha in Genshin Impact. Her Elemental Skill infuses her attacks with Cryo when she enters the Rushing Ice state. That state can only be achieved when enemies make contact with her Chillwater Bomblets, which raises an issue in her gameplay.

Kazuha's ability to collect enemies and items will force the enemies to touch her Bomblets, causing Aloy to immediately enter her Rushing Ice state. With one skill, Kazuha will weaken the enemy's Cryo resistance, increase Aloy's Cryo DMG, and enhance her Cryo attacks.

Xiao

Xiao is an excellent DPS in Genshin Impact. However, the monstrous DMG comes with a price since Xiao has a high energy requirement compared to his energy regen. Because of this, the Vigilant Yaksha needs a battery in his team. Sucrose usually fills this role, but an expensive Kazuha Xiao team can also do a great job.

Xiangling

Kazuha and Xiangling make a great team in Genshin Impact as she can help Kazuha trigger Pyro Swirls almost as frequently as Bennett. Their buffs and debuffs can stack, creating a strong synergy between the two.

Adding a C6 Bennett to this Kazuha team can further enhance both characters by creating extra layers of buffs. Additionally, Bennett and Xiangling will activate the Pyro Resonance, which adds a 25% ATK to Kazuha's entire team.

Childe

Childe mostly relies on his Elemental Skill to deal DMG in Genshin Impact. When he switches to Melee stance, Tartaglia can take advantage of his Riptide Splash ability, which triggers when enemies are close to each other. With Kazuha's exceptional crowd control abilities, he can group enemies together, keep them controlled, reduce their Hydro Resistance, and boost Tartaglia's Hydro DMG. This creates an ideal setup for Tartaglia to become an unstoppable force.

Hu Tao

Similar to Childe, Hu Tao is dependent on her Elemental Skill, Guide to Afterlife. When Hu Tao enters her Paramita Papilio state, she can deal great Pyro damage in exchange for her HP. Kazuha's ability to collect enemies, reduce their resistance, and increase her Pyro damage will further boost Hu Tao's damage.

However, the Hu Tao + Kazuha pair is quite limited since players have to bring a reliable Pyro enabler that doesn't ruin Hu Tao's Vaporize. For this job, players can either use Thoma or Dehya. Thoma is generally preferred as he works better as a Zhongli replacement.

Ayato

Both Ayato and Kazuha can create a large field to continuously apply and trigger their Elemental reactions in Genshin Impact. Like other DPS units that carry the aura elements such as Hydro, Cryo, Pyro, and Electro, Ayato will certainly perform well in any Kazuha team.

Ganyu

Ganyu is one of the most powerful characters in Genshin Impact. As a Cryo Bow user, she can deal crazy amounts of DMG with her Charged attacks, so it makes perfect sense to maximize that power. When players pair Ganyu with Kazuha, he grants her the support of his buffs and debuffs alongside making sure that the Pyro aura stays on enemies, which enables Ganyu to keep triggering her devastating Melt reaction.

Ayaka

Just like Ganyu, Ayaka can benefit greatly from being on a team with Kazuha in Genshin Impact. With Kazuha's powerful crowd control through his Elemental Skill, players can pair it with Ayaka's Elemental Burst to maximize her DMG potential.

Shenhe

Shenhe doesn't directly benefit from Kazuha's buffs, but they still pair nicely in Genshin Impact. With Shenhe's help, Kazuha can Swirl more Cryo to buff the main DPS, whether it’s Ayaka or Ganyu. Together, they can Support a strong Freeze team and can provide incredible buffs to the Cryo Main DPS in that team.

Raiden Shogun

Supporting Raiden during her Elemental Burst can be challenging in Genshin Impact, as even some of the best supports may not be effective due to the unique nature of her attacks; unlike other characters, her Burst attacks are considered Burst DMG and not Normal ATK DMG. That makes Kazuha a valuable addition to her team compositions, as he can provide the Electro Archon with a powerful Electro buff while also debuffing enemies, making a Raiden Kazuha team a solid choice.

Bennett

Bennett's Elemental Burst not only heals and provides an ATK buff, but it also infuses the active character with Pyro. This is usually used to cleanse Elemental debuffs, but when paired with Anemo characters like Kazuha, it can trigger Pyro Swirls.

Kazuha can also benefit from Bennett's C6 Constellation. The C6 Bennett effect grants characters standing in his Burst a 15% Pyro DMG bonus and Pyro infusion. Kazuha will happily take the Pyro DMG bonus for his Plunge attacks.
