Genshin Impact players have been quick to form alliances around their favorite in-game characters. While whimsical archers like Venti appeal to some players, others have been rallying around the claymore crew, so to speak. These fans of Diluc, Razor, and others will want to find the best greatsword around.
A cursory search through forums like Reddit will reveal that many fans are coming to the defense of the Prototype Archaic as a great claymore in Genshin Impact. There are other weapons like the Wolf's Gravestone with better raw power that players will advocate for, but games like Genshin Impact often ask players to devote time and money.
Updated October 13, 2021, by Nahda Nabiilah: Arataki Itto is recently teased and is likely to be released in Genshin Impact 2.3. While Itto's weapon and rarity are not officially revealed, miHoYo teased that he will be a Geo character.
From the official art, players can see that Itto is holding a club, which means he's probably a claymore wielder. Ever since Inazuma is released in version 2.0, there has been no 5-star claymore character featured in the limited banner. Arataki Itto might bring an end to this streak. Claymore is not very commonly used, so players can refer to this list to know which claymores are the best.
Wolf’s Gravestone
The Wolf's Gravestone, once fully enhanced, can nearly double the entire party's ATK stat for 12 seconds. This is undoubtedly powerful and will raise the whole team’s DPS since most of Genshin Impact's gameplay is time-limited.
The Claymore works perfectly with characters like Diluc, Razor, and Eula. It significantly improves their performance and increases their raw damage. In conclusion, Wolf’s Gravestone is one of the best Claymores currently available in the game.
Blackcliff Slasher and Serpent Spine
Some players might not be able to obtain 5-star Claymores from their banners yet. In that case, there is a solid alternative that is easier to get, Blackcliff Slasher. It can only be obtained from the game shop, Paimon’s Bargains. Serpent Spine is also a good alternative that can only be obtained from Genshin Impact’s Battle Pass. Both weapons have the perfect Sub-Stat which is either Critical Damage and Critical Rate, respectively.
The Blackcliff Slasher increases its wielder’s attack as long as they’re defeating enemies, the buff can reach up to 72%. Additionally, it can work on any damage dealer since it has the stats that any damage dealer craves. On the other hand, Serpent Spine increases its wielder’s damage as long as they remain on the field, the buff can reach up to a whopping 50% increased damage. And like Blackcliff Slasher, it has the stats needed for any damage dealer.
Song of Broken Pines
*Since Claymore users are considered to have high Normal and Charged Attack damage, most of them can be built as Physical DPS. In that case, Song of Broken Pines is an excellent choice for these characters. The Claymore possesses the highest Base ATK in the game (so far).
Not only that, but Song of Broken Pines will also increase the wielder’s attack speed and percentage which will be amplified with the Claymore's massive Base ATK. Simply, Song of Broken Pines is the best Claymore for any Physical DPS.
