When collecting characters in Genshin Impact, players want to get them more than once (but less than eight times). This is because duplicate pulls yield an item called Stella Fortuna. It's used to enhance the unit's ability via Constellation. After obtaining six duplicates, these characters are called C6, which means they have the maximum number of Constellations.

Some characters enter a whole new tier when they're maxed, while some others remain mediocre. Of course, among the best C6 units in Genshin Impact, many 5-star characters will rank right at the top. In this article, Travelers can see what they've been missing with their premium units.

Note: The descriptions of the Constellation effects are taken directly from Genshin Impact, just slightly abridged in places.

10 Xiangling

Xiangling drooling while looking excitedly at a herd of boars
  • C1: Guoba's attack reduces the enemy's Pyro RES by 15% for 6s.
  • C4: Increases Pyronado duration from 10s to 14s.
  • C6: Increases team's Pyro damage by 15% when Pyronado is active.

Xiangling's Constellation boosts her to be a deadly off-field damage dealer. She buffs her own damage with C1, C4, and C6. If the team has a Pyro DPS, Xiangling will also further boost their damage with her C1 and C6.

As a Pyro unit, the Star Chef can easily trigger Pyro Resonance too. Bennett would be the best pair for her because Xiangling's Elemental Burst will snapshot Bennett's buff.

9 Xingqiu

Xingqiu standing in front of a wooden house
  • C1: Increases the maximum number of Rain Swords (Elemental Skill) by 1.
  • C2: Extends Elemental Burst duration by 3s. Burst damage decreases the enemy's Hydro RES by 15% for 4s.
  • C4: When Elemental Burst is active, Xingqiu deals 50% more Elemental Skill damage.
  • C6: Activating two Elemental Burst's Sword Rain greatly enhances the third Sword Rain attack. On a hit, the third Sword Rain also regenerates three Energy for Xingqiu.

Xingqiu doesn't actually need Constellations to be one of the best characters in Genshin Impact. But, with his Constellations unlocked, Xingqiu can easily become the top damage dealer without taking any field time.

His first Constellation increases Xingqiu's ability in protecting the active character. His C4 also enhances this Elemental Skill's damage. As for his second and sixth Constellation, they significantly enhance Xingqiu's Burst damage and allow him to quickly regenerate his Energy.

8 Tartaglia

  • C1: Decreases the CD of Elemental Skill by 20%.
  • C2: When opponents affected by Riptide are defeated, Tartaglia regenerates four Energy.
  • C4: Every 4s, triggers Riptide Slash or Riptide Flash, depending on Tartaglia's Stance. These Constellation effects are not subject to the time intervals that would typically apply to these two Riptide effects.
  • C6: When Elemental Burst is cast in Melee Stance, reset the CD of Elemental Skill. This effect will only take place once Tartaglia returns to his Ranged Stance.

Childe suffers from a major cooldown issue, making him an underrated character in Genshin Impact. However, collecting his Constellations can change Childe into a beast. His C1 and C6 handle the cooldown problem. Meanwhile, the second and fourth Constellations significantly increase Childe's overall DPS.

7 Ganyu

Ganyu standing on a hill and surrounded by green plants
  • C1: Taking damage from Frostflake Arrow or Frostflake Bloom decreases opponents' Cryo RES by 15% for 6s. Also regenerates two Energy for Ganyu. This effect can only occur once per arrow.
  • C2: Elemental Skill gains one additional charge.
  • C4: Opponents within the AoE of Elemental Burst take more damage. Increased damage taken begins at 5% and increases by 5% every 3s, up to a maximum of 25%.
  • C6: Using Elemental Skill causes the next Frostflake Arrow shot within 30s to not require charging.

This amazing archer can effortlessly deal massive damage, leading to many calling Ganyu "braindead". She really doesn't need any Constellation to shine, but of course, with it, she enters a whole new level.

The Adeptus' first Constellation allows her to greatly increase the entirety of her damage. Both C1 and C2 allow Ganyu to easily maintain 100% Elemental Burst uptime. As for her C4, this makes Ganyu both an insane main DPS and a Sub-DPS. The increased damage buff from Ganyu C4 doesn't only affect the Elemental Burst, but any damage from any character.

6 Eula

  • C1: Every time Grimheart stacks are consumed, Eula's Physical damage is increased by 30% for 6s. Up to 18s.
  • C2: Both Hold and Press version of Elemental Skill now has a 4s CD.
  • C4: Lightfall Swords deal 25% increased damage against opponents with less than 50% HP.
  • C6: Lightfall Swords created from Elemental Burst start with five stacks of energy. Normal Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts have a 50% chance to grant the Lightfall Sword an additional stack.

Among all Physical characters, Eula is the queen. She's amazing even at C0, but her Constellations greatly boost her damage. Eula's C2 is the one that creates a major spike in her power, while C4 and C6 significantly increase her already-insane Elemental Burst damage.

5 Kazuha

Kazuha pulling his sword is about to attack Raiden Shogun
  • C1: Decreases Elemental Skill CD by 10%. Using Elemental Burst resets this CD.
  • C2: The Autumn Whirlwind field created by Elemental Burst increases Kazuha's and characters within the field's Elemental Mastery by 200. This effect does not stack.
  • C4: When Kazuha's Energy is lower than 45, Pressing or Holding Elemental Skill regenerates three or four Energy for Kazuha, respectively. When gliding, Kaedehara Kazuha regenerates two Energy per second.
  • C6: After using Elemental Skill or Burst, Kazuha gains Anemo Infusion for 5s. Additionally, each point of Elemental Mastery will increase the damage dealt by Kazuha's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack by 0.2%.

Kazuha is currently one of the best supports in Genshin Impact. At C0, he makes the perfect support and Sub-DPS. But at full Constellations, he can take a new role. The Samurai's C1, C2, and C4 greatly enhance his supportive ability. Meanwhile, his C6 transforms Kazuha into a viable main DPS.

4 Raiden Shogun

Genshin Impact Raiden Shogun using her Musou isshin to fight
  • C1: Chakra Desiderata will gather Resolve even faster.
  • C2: While using Elemental Burst, Musou Isshin's damage ignores 60% of opponents' DEF.
  • C4: When Elemental Burst ends, all nearby party members (excluding Raiden) gain a 30% bonus ATK for 10s.
  • C6: While in the Musou Isshin state, Raiden's hits will decrease all nearby party members' (excluding Raiden) Elemental Burst CD by 1s. This effect can trigger once every 1s for a maximum of five times.

The Electro Archon has been greatly anticipated by the fans, especially by those who plan to collect all the Archons. Initially, many found her underwhelming. But now, Raiden Shogun is surprisingly a part of the meta.

At C0, Raiden is a decent support. But at C2, she became an amazing Sub-DPS. Meanwhile, both Raiden's C4 and C6 enhance her supportive abilities, making her a better support than she already was.

3 Hu Tao

  • C1: While in a Pyro Infusion state activated by Elemental Skill, Hu Tao's Charge Attacks do not consume Stamina.
  • C2: Increases the Blood Blossom damage by 10% of Hu Tao's Max HP when the effect is applied. Additionally, Elemental Burst will also apply the Blood Blossom effect.
  • C4: Upon defeating an enemy affected by a Blood Blossom, all nearby allies in the party (excluding Hu Tao) will have their Crit Rate increased by 12% for 15s.
  • C6: When Hu Tao's HP drops below 25% or she suffers a lethal strike, she will not fall. Instead, for the next 10s, all of her Elemental and Physical RES is increased by 200%, her Crit Rate is increased by 100%, and her resistance to interruption is greatly increased. This effect triggers automatically when Hu Tao has one HP left. Can only occur once every 60s.

Hu Tao's C1 is one of the most sought-after Constellations in Genshin Impact as it enormously boosts her overall DPS. Her C2 also increases her damage, although to a lesser extent than her C1. However, the second Constellation indirectly allows Hu Tao's C4 to function better.

12% Crit Rate may seem small, but this can stack with her Passive, which grants another 12%. This means, when Hu Tao is on cooldown, the player's whole party will enjoy a 24% extra Crit Rate.

As for her C6, it practically allows Hu Tao to be immortal on the field. After dropping to critical HP, players can simply use her Elemental Burst to bring Hu Tao back on her feet.

2 Zhongli

  • C2: Elemental Burst grants nearby characters Jade Shield.
  • C4: Increases Elemental Burst's AoE by 20% and increases petrification effect by 2s.
  • C6: When the Jade Shield takes damage, 40% of that damage is converted to HP for the active character. Each regeneration can't exceed 8% of that character's Max HP.

As a shield support, Zhongli is practically useless in co-op. Luckily, he's viable for co-op after obtaining his C2. Unlike other characters, both Zhongli's C4 and C6 fully enhance his supportive skills as well. With the last Constellation, the Geo Archon even became a minor healer.

1 Xiao

Xiao in his vigilant Yaksha state about to attack
  • C1: Increases Elemental Skill's charge by one.
  • C6: While under the effects of Elemental Burst, hitting at least two opponents with Xiao's Plunging Attack will immediately grant him one charge of Elemental Skill. For the next 1s, he may use the Skill while ignoring its CD.

When it comes to Constellation, Xiao is probably one of the few that has disappointing enhancements. The Adeptus' C2 and C4 are far from the best.

His C2 is unnecessary as most would swap to Xiao to absorb Elemental Particles on the field. Meanwhile, Xiao's C4 enhances his defense. This is also not required as Xiao needs to be played with a healer anyway.

Luckily, Xiao has a crazy C6. With it, players can endlessly spam his Elemental Skill every time they use his Plunge Attack. With a fast internet and a faster finger, this Constellation can wreak havoc on the battlefield.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
