Players starting in Genshin Impact may become easily overwhelmed with the game's myriad items, menus, and interfaces. Even with reference points like Breath of the Wild, it can be difficult to keep track of all the different features the game has to offer, and when every enemy defeated drops sweet loot, it becomes easier than ever to lose track of all the weapons collected along the way.

Although Genshin Impact offers players a fair variety of weapons to choose from, each character is limited to their own particular type of weapon. That is to say, the main character, for example, can only use swords; Razor can only use claymores; and so on and so forth. This makes weapon swapping simpler in that characters probably won't share weapons, but it also makes weapon-choice much more difficult - players arming their archers will want to make sure each one has the best bow possible.

Updated October 13, 2021, by Nahda Nabiilah: It’s been a year since Genshin Impact was released. The game still gathers many fans around its beautiful world and story. With the addition of new characters that use bows as their go-to weapon, new bows are also released.

That being said, as the list grows, the ranking also changes. The combat mechanic in Genshin Impact demands players to prioritize Supports as much as DPS characters. The new ranking will not only consider DPS potential but also further include the best supportive Bows players can benefit from.

Amos' Bow

Ganyu holding her Amos Bow in Genshin Impact

Amos’ Bow is an excellent weapon. It quickly became a meta bow once Ganyu was released. At Refinement level one, Amos’ Bow increases the holding character's Normal and Charged Attacks damage by 12%.

Additionally, it increases the damage by 8% for every 0.1 seconds the arrow travels after it fired. Basically, the bow will add at least 16% damage immediately when firing an arrow, since 0.1 seconds is an outstandingly small time.

Thundering Pulse And Rust

Best DPS Bows

Thundering Pulse was released in the 2.0 Version. The bow has the perfect Sub-Stat which is Critical Damage, alongside a high Base attack value. In addition, Thundering Pulse greatly boosts Normal Attacks damage. It’s perfect for characters that rely on their Normal Attacks like Tartaglia, Fischl, or Yoimiya. The weapon is considered an upgraded version of Rust, another powerful 4-Star bow that works well with the same characters. Especially Fischl.

Bearing that in mind, fans of the game have by and large come to a consensus over the game's most powerful weapons at the moment. If asking a Fischl or Tartaglia fan, archers will most likely be directed to the bow simply known as "Rust." In short, Rust basically offers players scaling increased damage for rapid-firing, at the cost of a small damage reduction while taking charged shot. For example, at Rank 1, Rust increases rapid-fire/normal attack damage by a whopping 40%, while reducing aimed damage by 10%. Most players agree that the tradeoff is well worth it, considering the fact that Rust eventually grants an 80% attack bonus.

Elegy For The End And Favonius Warbow

Best Supportive Bows

Characters like Venti or Diona are more supportive of their teams. It means bows that boost their DPS aren't beneficial to them. In that case, Elegy For The End is an excellent bow for these supportive characters. Since Elegy For The End is only obtainable from the weapon banner, players can use Favonius Warbow as an alternative.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
