A Battery in Genshin Impact is a character that can produce a lot of Energy to feed a Burst-reliant unit. For example, Xiao badly needs his Elemental Burst to be always available, but he can't generate Energy fast enough. Therefore, he needs a Battery to do this job for him. Because same-Element Particles would grant a larger sum of Energy, Xiao's best Battery would include characters like Sucrose, Kazuha, Jean, and Venti.
There are two types of Genshin Impact Battery characters; some generate plenty of Elemental Particles, and others grant a flat Energy restoration. Each of these has their own positives and negatives, so players should know which one works better in their team composition.

They provide a valuable Energy regeneration that helps characters that rely on their Elemental Burst to fulfill their roles. With the ever-growing list of playable characters in Genshin Impact, it's no surprise that players will be seeing more Battery-worthy units, and for that, this article has been updated to include more options for the role.
13 Kaeya
As one of the first three starter characters, most players consider Kaeya to be weak. Yet, he should not be underestimated. Kaeya possesses many supportive abilities that make him a decent pick in most team compositions.
One of his most important abilities is being a reliable Cryo Battery in Genshin Impact. Kaeya can create 2.67 Energy every six seconds, making him able to regenerate 0.445 per second. Of course, players can build him with a Favonius or Sacrificial Sword, and he’ll generate even more Energy for himself and for the team.
12 Xingqiu
By far, Xingqiu is the only reliable Hydro Battery in Genshin Impact. His Elemental Skill actually has a long cooldown, but with the help of Sacrificial Sword, he can always generate double the amount of Particles. Usually, Xingqiu wields this Genshin Impact Sword so that he can easily regain his Burst.
Xingqiu produces five Elemental Particles (10 with Sacrificial Sword) every 21 seconds. This means his effective production is around 0.476 Particles per second. If the Guhua Disciple uses another Sword like the Primordial Jade Cutter, then players have to be careful with their Energy management.
11 Bennett
Bennett is easily one of the best support in Genshin Impact. He offers everything a DPS would need in the game; healing, cleansing, buffing, and even Battery. Normally, his tap skill generates two Particles every four seconds, but if players use Benny in his Burst's AoE, then it will be two Particles every two seconds. Depending on when Travelers utilize his ability, Bennett's effective production is either 0.5 or one Particle per second.
While this may seem awesome, players should also note that Bennett's short cooldown means he might have to use his tap Skill several times before he can fully recharge the main DPS' Elemental Burst.
10 Venti
Venti used to be one of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact, but the developer continuously reduces his effectiveness by creating enemies that are immune to his Crowd Control. Luckily, though, while his CC may be less viable now, his viability as a Battery remains intact. The Anemo Archon generates three Particles with his tap Skill. This means he has a 0.5 Particles per the second production.
Apart from that, Barbatos also offers a flat Energy restoration via his Elemental Burst. If Venti absorbs an Element with his Burst (Cryo, Hydro, Electro, or Pyro), then after his ultimate ends, all party members with the corresponding Element will regain 15 Energy.
9 Rosaria
Rosaria is a fairly complicated character in Genshin Impact. In the right hands, she can become a major source of support in her team comp while operating as a Sub-DPS.
Rosaria doesn’t only grant Crit Rate as a support. She can also cast her Elemental Skill every six seconds, generating three particles every time. This is crucial since it will grant her team 0.5 particles per second. Giving her a Favonius Lance will further enhance her ability to be a Genshin Impact Cryo Battery.
8 Kaedehara Kazuha
Currently one of the most favored units in the game, Kaedehara Kazuha continues to offer top-tier supportive ability. Other than his obvious Elemental DMG buff, Kazuha is also a great Battery. Similar to Venti, Kazuha's tap Skill grant three Particles every six seconds, while his hold Skill generates four every nine seconds. This means Kazuha's tap version is the better option to generate Energy.
However, if players equip the Wandering Samurai with a Sacrificial Sword, then they can easily reset his cooldown. Either use his hold Skill twice or utilize his tap after hold.
7 Diona
When it comes to both shielding and healing, Diona always comes to mind. With how easy it is to use her and her supportive abilities, it's hard to doubt Diona's potential in Genshin Impact. Like typical shielders, she has a long Elemental Skill cooldown, having an effective rate of 0.266 Particles per second. However, if players equip her with a Sacrificial Bow, then the value is doubled to 0.532.
If players have Diona at C1, then the Genshin Impact Constellation will prove to be a major help in restoring Diona's Elemental Burst.
6 Sucrose
Before Kazuha dethroned her as the most-favored Anemo support, Sucrose used to be one of the characters spammed in any damage showcase. She only generates four Particles every 15 seconds, but just like other units, she's often paired with Sacrificial Fragments. In fact, Sucrose is actually one of the best wielders of a Sacrificial weapon. The Genshin Impact Catalyst character offers Elemental Mastery via its sub-stat, a stat Sucrose greatly needs.
With her Elemental Particle production doubled, Sucrose can grant 0.534 Particles every second. If players own her C1, Sucrose can easily use her Elemental Skill three times in a row, allowing Sucrose to become a solid Anemo Battery in Genshin Impact.
5 Traveler
There's no doubt that the Traveler is one of the most underrated characters in Genshin Impact. Often deemed as "weak", "underwhelming", or simply "free", the protagonist can actually bring some utilities to the table. Anemo Traveler is a decent Battery that can reduce Elemental RES, Geo Traveler is a great Battery and can provide Crit Rate buff, while the Electro version is one of the best Batteries in Genshin Impact.
Geo Traveler can offer a great 0.555 Particles per second, but Electro Traveler takes this number to another level. Other than the 0.222 Particles per second provided upon Skill cast, the Electro MC enhances the character's Energy Recharge (ER) and can provide a lot more Energy restoration via its Abundance Amulets. A character that absorbs this item will regain four Energy. Considering there can be three Amulets at a time, players can restore a total of 12 Energy every nine seconds. The Electro MC's Elemental Burst also has a similar Energy restoration effect.
4 Kujou Sara
Kujou Sara is often forgotten as she's completely clouded by Bennett. While the Adventurer is much simpler to use, C6 Sara can be an amazing support for Electro characters. Other than the 100% Buff uptime and extra Electro Crit DMG she can provide, the Tengu Warrior is also an amazing Electro Battery in Genshin Impact. Her Elemental Skill only generates three Particles every ten seconds, but if players stack Energy Recharge on her, at 200% ER, Sara will grant 2.4 Energy when her Crowfeather (Created from her Skill) hits an enemy.
This ability is further enhanced if players have Sara's Constellation in Genshin Impact. At C1, her Elemental Skill cooldown is lowered to nine seconds, while at C2, she can grant 4.8 Energy every eight seconds (Instead of 2.4).
3 Dori
Unsurprisingly, Electro Genshin Impact Batteries are dominating the top of the list. This is because generating particles for their team is their niche. Not only that Dori possesses this ability, but she also is one of the best Battery characters.
While her Elemental Skill doesn’t generate a significant amount of Energy, her Elemental Burst, on the other hand, can regenerate up to 15 Energy to the active character. This is important since Dori isn’t only an Electro Battery in Genshin Impact, she’s a Battery for all other characters.
2 Fischl
Fischl has always been known to be a great Battery. Not only the numerous damage addition her Oz can offer, but Fischl is also a stable Energy generator. Every second, Oz will produce 0.67 Elemental Particles. Considering her Skill has a 25s Cooldown and 10s duration, Fischl's effective production is 0.268 Particles per second. However, Fischl can also summon Oz using her Elemental Burst. This way, Fischl can keep Oz for 20s every 25s, bumping the number to 0.536.
If players manage to maximize Fischl's Constellation in Genshin Impact, Oz can now stay on the field for up to 24s, making Fischl generate 0.643 Particles per second.
1 Raiden Shogun
Unsurprisingly, the top three Battery in Genshin Impact is dominated by Electro characters. This Element may be weaker than the rest, but it's clear that they're the best when it comes to regenerating Energy. Raiden Shogun produces 0.4 Particles every 0.9 seconds, making her effective value 0.444.
Other than that, of course, the Electro Archon can restore a massive amount of Energy when she hits enemies with her Mussou Isshin. Every 18 seconds, players can regain 12.5 Energy with Raiden Shogun's assistance. After unlocking the Archon's fourth-Ascension passive (A4), the number can be enhanced by 0.6% for every Energy Recharge over 100%. So if Raiden Shogun has 250% Energy Recharge, that 12.5 Energy restoration is bumped up to a whopping 23.75.
