Genshin Impact's social media accounts have officially confirmed two new characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, for the upcoming version 3.6. The game's playable roster keeps expanding with every new update that arrives. The first banner cycles for the ongoing version 3.4 added two new Dendro users, Yaoyao and Alhaitham.
The recent live stream event for the upcoming Genshin Impact update 3.5 confirmed the arrival of the famous Pyro claymore five-star Dehya and a Cryo user from Mondstadt named Mika. Even though update 3.5 has not arrived yet, developer HoYoverse already confirmed the arrival of two new playable units for 3.6.
Genshin Impact's official Twitter account has finally confirmed previous rumors claiming that Baizhu and Kaveh will arrive in update 3.6. Since his first appearance back in Liyue's Archon Quest, Baizhu has been one of the most anticipated characters in the community. One of the main reasons is probably the fact that at the time he was the only character in the game to appear with a Dendro Vision. This led many players to believe that he would become the first Dendro character to join the playable roster. However, HoYoverse delayed his release probably because he is from the Liyue region and almost every currently playable Dendro user in the game is from Sumeru.
Kaveh will also be a new Dendro user who is expected to have a lower four-star rarity. Sumeru's official storyline introduced him as an eccentric character whose actions are always led by emotions which is the complete opposite of his roommate Alhaitham. He is also known as a famous architect from Sumeru who created various buildings like the Palace of Alcazarzaray, one of the most iconic landmarks in the Dendro region.
Recent Genshin Impact leaks have revealed more information about Baizhu's and Kaveh's power on the battlefield. Baizhu will apparently be a support character who can provide offensive and defensive buffs to his team members. Rumors have also mentioned that he will also have the potential to deal some damage which means that his kit could be similar to Zhongli's.
Kaveh is also expected to be a new Dendro support who has the ability to increase his teammates' Normal Attack speed and Elemental Skill damage. When it comes to their release date, Genshin Impact version 3.6 is expected to arrive around mid-April, at least according to the game's usual update schedule. Many fans hope that Kaveh and Baizhu will be placed on the same part of the update which will allow them to acquire both characters by wishing on a single banner.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
