Genshin Impact sales reports reveal that the revenue for the ongoing double banner featuring Baizhu and Ganyu is surprisingly underwhelming. Developer HoYoverse keeps expanding the pool of playable characters with almost every new update that arrives with Baizhu and Kaveh being the most recent additions.

They are part of the second Genshin Impact banner cycle that also features the Cryo bow user Ganyu as one of the limited five-star characters. The fact that Kaveh is part of the four-star lineup means that players can acquire both new characters by spending their precious Primogems on only one limited banner.

A popular Genshin Impact revenue website named GenshinLab has revealed that the ongoing double banner featuring Ganyu and Baizhu is not doing as well as many players might have predicted. According to the data shown on the site, the banner is ranked in the 41st spot on the all-time revenue list which shows 47 Limited Character Banners. These sales are extremely underwhelming considering that Baizhu was one of the most anticipated characters in the Genshin Impact community. For a very long time, he was the only Dendro Vision holder that made an appearance back in Liyue's Archon Quest, which led many players to believe that he would be the first playable character to use this element.

Genshin Impact Baizhu and Ganyu revenue

However, HoYoverse decided to delay his release, perhaps because he does not have a lot of ties to the Sumeru region that introduced the new element. Even though he's considered an S-tier character, it seems like many Travelers avoided pulling for him. One of the reasons behind this low revenue could be the fact that he was the 8th Dendro character to join the roster in approximately 9 months.

In comparison, there are also 8 Geo users on the roster, even though this element was part of the game since its release back in 2020. Another reason why some fans might have skipped his banner could be that they have spent all their Primogems on the first banner cycle for update 3.6, which featured the Dendro Archon Nahida, the Hydro user Nilou, and a decent four-star lineup.

Nahida is widely considered the best Dendro character in the game and players who needed this element in their roster probably chose her over Baizhu. Even though there are still around two weeks until this banner expires, recent leaks have already started hinting at the next set of characters that will receive re-runs Genshin Impact 3.7.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
