Genshin Impact costumes have been one of the main topics in the game's community in the past couple of weeks. Between Version 2.4 adding skins for Ningguang and Keqing and recent leaks hinting at skins for Mondstadt characters Fischl and Diluc, the player base encountered many rumors and theories on other skins that could arrive in the upcoming Genshin Impact updates.

Character skins have largely taken a backseat throughout Genshin Impact's development since the game released in September 2020. The breakout hit RPG didn't see its first skins for some of game's growing roster of iconic characters until the 1.6 update added summer-themed outfits for Barbara and Jean.

The second part of the current Genshin Impact update 2.4 has officially added alternate costumes for four popular characters: Jean, Mona, Rosaria, and Amber. A recent post on the popular Genshin Impact subreddit has revealed that the skins have provided a significant damage buff before miHoYo decided to implement a quick hotfix. Players were even asking for the post to be removed from the subreddit before it caught miHoYo's attention.

A 48% damage buff largely impacts the damage output, and players usually get very creative with such bugs even when they don't' stay for long. Unfortunately, according to multiple replies in the comment section, the buff did not apply in the Spiral Abyss which prevented players from fulfilling their 36-star challenge. While most of the new outfits are only minor alterations to the original designs, the Cryo polearm user Rosaria will see some significant changes. Previous leaks have also suggested Mondstadt characters would be the next to receive skins following the release of Keqing and Ningguang's formal attire.

So far 2022 has been a great year for Genshin Impact as it introduced two new characters to the game, Yun Jin and Shenhe. The update also features three banner re-runs for some fan-favorite characters. Xiao was placed alongside Shenhe in the first banner cycle while Ganyu and Zhongli have already arrived as part of the second banner cycle that includes another Genshin Impact double banner re-run. In addition that, the official Genshin Impact social media accounts have confirmed a new character that will arrive in update 2.5, the long-awaited Electro catalyst user Yae Miko. She will apparently arrive alongside Kokomi and the popular Raiden Shogun.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development.
