Genshin Impact has been riding high since its release back in September 2020. However, as the game increases in popularity, fans appear to be finding more and more mistakes, design flaws, and downright odd decisions associated with it. Recently, one group of fans started poking fun at one of the most recent advertisements for Genshin Impact.

It seems that Genshin Impact's popularity has been growing since its launch, and part of that may be due to the game's marketing campaign. Not only have a number of Genshin Impact ads appeared all over the internet for the last two years, but many of those ads have also been downright cinematic. However, developer miHoYo appears to have decided to break from this pattern with its latest ad.

Most good ads tell a story, but the same could be said of bad and even downright hilarious ads. Redditor aki-mura shared nine screenshots depicting the story arc of a recent Genshin Impact ad--a tale that features two players sitting next to each other on a couch. Apparently, both of them have been playing Genshin Impact for one week, but the guy in the orange shirt has already reached Adventure Rank 30. He claims that he achieved this by keeping three tips in mind, which he proceeds to share with both his friend and the viewer.

This style of ad is not particularly new or creative, and other fans soon began replying to aki-mura's post to make fun of the ad. A group of fans began discussing increasingly over-the-top power-ups for similar style Genshin Impact ads to depict, such as a level 3 Traveler punching a level 30 Slime and transforming into a level 100 Anemoboxer Vanguard. These characters are aligned with the antagonistic Fatui and use the Anemo element to cause trouble for players.

Redditor ajboarder joked that fans could expect to see ads where Paimon must pull the pins out of a puzzle without melting primogems next. This style of ad has also become popular, particularly for mobile games – including mobile games whose actual gameplay has very little to do with puzzle-solving. Redditor Auxitrius2 continued things by suggesting that future ads could show a level 3 Traveler standing next to a tower of Hilichurls, each of which would have a different level. Several other users replied to this by stating that the ad would show the Traveler repeatedly trying to take on a level 20 Samichurl instead of a level 1 Hilichurl.

Genshin Impact is out now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5 with a Switch version in development.
