A Genshin Impact fan managed to delete nearly 70,000 items from their inventory after many months of grinding for important materials. Genshin Impact players may accrue a massive amount of materials by defeating bosses, completing domain challenges, and taking part in the latest in-game events.

Since Genshin Impact's launch in September 2020, HoYoverse has regularly updated the free open-world action RPG with new story quests, expansive regions, events, playable characters, and enemies. Each new character introduced into Genshin Impact usually arrives with a new boss to defeat, allowing players to obtain important ascension materials. These materials allow players to level up the character to level 90, which is the current max character level in Genshin Impact. Completing domains and defeating enemies across Teyvat also rewards players with weapon ascension materials, which are vital toward increasing the potency of a character's equipped weapon.

After many months of playing Genshin Impact, Reddit user u/Pkfire100 decided to delete nearly 70,000 items from their inventory including character and weapon ascension materials. Specifically, the player managed to accrue 9,999 Recruit's Insignias, Damaged Masks, Divining Scrolls, Firm Arrowheads, Treasure Hoarder Insignias, Old Handguards, and Faded Red Satin each. According to u/Pkfire100, deleting these items was a "personal endgame" after conquering many of the game's challenges at present.

Character and weapon materials in Genshin Impact are typically gathered after defeating normal-type enemies like Hilichurls and Treasure Hoarders. Materials drop quite often in Genshin Impact, so frequently playing the game allows players to yield many resources to invest into characters and weapons. The materials being deleted by u/Pkfire100 were of common rarity, which are may be crafted into a higher rarity by using alchemy. Additionally, higher rarity materials may drop occasionally after defeating bosses and strong enemies in the field.

u/Pkfire100 likely did not need these materials since they accrued a massive quantity of higher rarity materials to use for maxing out character levels in Genshin Impact. However, it may have been wise to use alchemy crafting to convert these materials into their rarest form. High rarity materials are always useful when leveling up multiple characters at once such as Genshin Impact version 3.4's Alhaitham and Yaoyao.

Fortunately, common character and weapon materials are very easy to obtain in Genshin Impact through normal progression and consistent play. Players who explore Genshin Impact's new Desert of Hadramaveth region may obtain many valuable rewards by defeating enemies and completing quests, for example.

Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
