Genshin Impact has revealed a new four-star weapon that will arrive in the upcoming update 3.7. Weapons and artifacts are probably the two most important parts of every character's build in the game. While artifacts can be acquired by completing various domains, the main way to get weapons in the game is by pulling for them on the Weapon Banner.

Almost every Genshin Impact update allows players to acquire one four-star weapon for free by participating in some of the event-exclusive quests. At the moment, there are five different weapon types in the game, all of which can have five different levels of rarity with five-stars being usually the most powerful items.

Similar to character constellations, Genshin Impact weapons have different refinement levels which can be acquired by getting multiple copies of the same item. Genshin Impact's official social media events have revealed a new four-star weapon named Ibis Piercer and its refinement materials will be offered for free during one of the upcoming Duel! The Summoners' Summit! event. The weapon will have the following stats:

  • Weapon type: Bow
  • Max. Base Attack: 565
  • Secondary stat: ATK percentage
  • Secondary stat max. value: 27.6%
  • Rarity: Four-star
  • Passive effect: Secret Wisdom's Favor - The character's Elemental Mastery will be increased by 40 within 6 seconds after a Charged Attack hit opponents. This effect has two stacks which can be triggered once every 0.5.

This weapon is a great choice for every bow user that can benefit from its Attack on the secondary stat. The fact that it enhances the power of Charged Attack makes it the go-to choice for several different characters. Ganyu is the first obvious choice since her whole kit revolves around dealing damage with her enhanced Charged Attacks. Another character that can use this weapon is the Hydro DPS Tartaglia, also known as Childe.

Players who added the Dendro user Tighnari to their roster can equip him with this weapon since his kit scales with Elemental Mastery. Players can even use this weapon on the Pyro user Yoimiya who is confirmed to appear in the first part of the upcoming Genshin Impact version 3.7.

Yoimiya will arrive on the same banner cycle as the popular Electro user Yae Miko and the new four-star Dendro user Kirara. Even though Kriara was rumored to be a bow user, HoYoverse's most recent Special Program event confirmed that she uses the sword as her primary weapon.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
