Genshin Impact finally confirmed the release date of the upcoming Special Program for update 3.2. The game runs on a very tight update schedule with each new version of the game arriving every 5-7 weeks.

Developer HoYoverse hosts a special live stream event before each new update, revealing most of the upcoming content. The current Genshin Impact double banner that features Nilou and Albedo is coming to an end which means that it's time for a new set of characters to arrive.

Genshin Impact's official social media accounts revealed that the 3.2 Livestream Event for update 3.2 will arrive on October 23 at 08:00 AM (UTC-4), while previous announcements have revealed that Genshin Impact version 3.2 is scheduled to drop on November 2. The game has already confirmed the addition of the Dendro Archon Nahida, who currently serves as a quest-exclusive NPC who plays a major role in the current Sumeru storyline. Since she's an Archon, players expect Nahida to be one of the strongest characters in the game with rumors hinting that she will be a new support which could make her a must-have for most types of Dendro team comps.

Similar to the three previous Archons, Nahida will have the ability to adapt to many team compositions in the game. Recent beta leaks revealed that Nahida's Elemental Burst, Illusory Heart, has a different effect when exposed to Hydro, Pyro, or Electro which gives more flexibility to Nahida's playstyle. While the two current Dendro supports, the Traveler and Collei, have decent Dendro application on the field, Nahida will take it to the next level, at least according to credible leakers.

She is expected to appear on the first banner of the upcoming update alongside a new four-star character named Layla. There is not a lot of information about this Rtawahist student who specializes in Theoretical Astrology. When it comes to her power on the field, she will apparently be very strong Cryo support with a kit that is very reminiscent of the Cryo bow user Diona.

While there is a lot of hype about the new characters, the addition of a new weekly boss could steal the show in the next update. Scaramouche, who has been a part of the main story for a very long time will apparently receive his own boss domain. According to recent Genshin Impact video leaks, he will be controlling an enormous transformer-like creature which will increase his strength.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
