Rumors and leaks are very common in the world of Genshin Impact, and interesting info on a brand new character named Yae Miko has come up numerous times over the last couple of weeks. Since her appearances in two update previews, Yae Miko has become a fan-favorite character, so many are obviously excited to hear more about her arrival.

Genshin Impact update 2.4 has not even arrived yet and multiple leaks have already revealed much information about Genshin Impact version 2.5 which should arrive mid-February. Even miHoYo's official social media accounts revealed the new character that will join the playable roster.

Recent leaks have revealed a brand new five-star Catalyst by the name Kagura's Verity. The new item apparently belongs to the recently announced Yae Miko and it has the following stats:

  • Weapon Type: Catalyst
  • Base Attack: 46-608
  • Secondary Stat (Crit Damage) 14.4% - 66.2%
  • Passive: The weapon user will gain the Kagura Dance effect when using an Elemental Skill causing the skill damage of the character wielding this weapon to increase by 12-24% for 12 seconds. This effect has three stacks and the character will gain a 12% all elemental damage bonus when they possess 3 stacks

Each Genshin Impact update has its beta phase which usually starts once the preceding patch arrives. The 2.5 beta phase has started the day Genshin Impact update 2.4 has officially arrived. Over the last couple of months, miHoYo has introduced an interesting pattern of revealing new characters before the beta even arrives, probably because it would take just a couple of hours before they would've been leaked anyway. A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has apparently revealed the long-awaited information about Yae Miko's kit. The Reddit thread gives more information about her secondary stat, constellations, as well as the description for her Elemental Skill and Burst.

Yae's secondary stat is Crit rate which means that she will most likely be a strong DPS character. She is also confirmed to be an Electro Vision holder which is usual for Inazuma characters. Yae's Elemental Skill allows her to move rapidly leaving behind stacks of "Lethal Sakura" that periodically deal damage to one nearby enemy target. This type of skill means that she could also be a great fit for the sub-DPS role.

When it comes to her boss materials, multiple leaks confirm that she will be using talent ascensions dropped by La Signora. Even though she was rumored to be released alongside another popular character, the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato, it seems like miHoYo decided to delay his arrival once again.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
