Genshin Impact continues to be incredibly popular due to the combination of a compelling world, live service content updates, and gacha monetization that demands heavy investment from its players. Together, it leads to a community of Genshin Impact players hungry for what's coming next. The latest leak from within the Genshin Impact fandom should deliver on that need. According to the leak, there are several new characters in the works for patch 1.7 including a 4-star, as well as a new banner.

The biggest part of the leak is a previously leaked character Tohma apparently now being likely to arrive with patch 1.7. Tohma had been leaked previously and should be a 4-star Pyro character that wields a polearm. Tohma's leaked renders reveal him to have ear-length blonde hair and a headpiece that peeks through his bangs to look like devil horns. Note that the information leaked so far about Tohma comes from different sources, so some or all of it could be inaccurate or have changed.

In addition to Tohma, the leak claims that two other characters, Ayaka and Yoimiya, will also be introduced to the game soon. Plenty is known about Ayaka, who was a playable character available in Genshin Impact's beta. Yoimiya, however, is a grand mystery. She doesn't even have a render available yet, which perhaps makes this leak a little less reliable. Regardless, an Ayaka and Yoimiya banner is said to be planned for 1.7, so Genshin Impact players can look forward to those rolls.

While this leak doesn't mention her, a previous leak for Genshin Impact also claimed to know what new characters would be coming in 1.7. That leak said it would be both Tohma and a different new character, Sayu. Sayu would be a 4-star character as well, but would wield a claymore and use Anemo for her power. Sayu also has a leaked render going around, showing her to be a short young girl wearing a raccoon costume with ears and a tail.

Obviously, four new characters in one patch seems like a lot. That's why it's important to take these unsourced Genshin Impact leaks with a grain of salt. More new characters, artifact sets, and other content are on their way. Players will just have to be patient to see what comes available when.

Players won't have to wait long for more Genshin Impact information, either. Patch 1.6 is expected next week, introducing with it the 5-star Anemo sword-wielder Kazuha. A Chinese beta for patch 1.7 is also said to be starting soon, which means a lot more official information is about to become available for leaks. Patience is a virtue.

Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices.
