Most famous for creating Gears of War, Cliff "CliffyB" Bleszinski is a man of many talents, and he may be adding yet another to his repertoire. Citing cabin fever as "the straw that broke the camel's back," it seems that Bleszinski is ready to give Twitch streaming a try, though it isn't entirely clear when he'll start.

According to a recent tweet by Bleszinski, using the teleconferencing app Zoom has made him comfortable on camera again, a key aspect of being successful on Twitch. Bleszinski helped produce the musical Hadestown recently, a Broadway play, so a Twitch channel certainly wouldn't be the strangest thing Bleszinski has pursued.

Twitch viewership has surged during the coronavirus pandemic, with more people remaining at home due to virus' spread throughout the world. This has made the prospect of streaming more appealing for many, as a larger audience increases the odds of finding viewership. Of course, that also means that there will be more competition, though Bleszinski's fame will give him an advantage over the competition.

Bleszinski didn't offer details to when he'll start streaming, or even what he'll be streaming, though a playthrough of Gears of War is a no-brainer. Even using "Just Chatting" on Twitch to dive into the development behind Gears, or any one of Bleszinski's other games, seems like a way for the former developer to find success on the platform.

Bleszinski stated he was done with game development after his last studio, Boss Key Productions, closed. Both of Boss Key's games, Lawbreakers and Radical Heights, a hero shooter and a battle royale, respectively, failed to garner audiences in crowded genres.

After the closure, Bleszinski released unused game ideas for future titles that Boss Key would have made. The concept art was impressive, though it seems none of it will ever become a fully playable game, unfortunately. Still, it's possible that it's resurrected at some point, either by Bleszinski or another developer.

Bleszinski's Twitch career is an interesting concept, and not something fans would've expected from the creator. Still, the pairing is a good fit, and there's sure to be some interesting stories emerging from the stream whenever it goes live.
