In case you fans of Gears of War 3 multiplayer had begun to find the available maps a bit dull and dreary, then the newest addition will comes as good news. The ‘Bullet Marsh’ map won’t be coming until thanksgiving next week, but if you crave that extra competitive edge, don’t hesitate to analyze the new trailer for any exploits or sniping positions.

Gears of War 3 is enjoying plenty of support from fans both offline and online, with the developers at Epic¬†unveiling their DLC season pass to make the most out of early adopters. But even those who haven’t ponied up the extra dough will be able to enjoy not only ‘Bullet Marsh,’ but also the three maps that made up the Horde Command Pack. This is just one of the new locations being unlocked with the Versus Booster Pack, and so far all signs point to it becoming yet another quality habitat for some online carnage.

The new trailer doesn’t show what kinds of weapons or game types will work best in ‘Bullet Marsh’ but checking out the compound’s Isla Nublar-esque waist-high walls is better than nothing. And for those who are a bit hesitant to be caught off guard by seasoned pros when the pack is released, you can always turn to the new Spectator Mode.

While people who paid extra money for Gears 3 DLC may be miffed to see average joes receiving the same extra content, Epic is taking their chance to show why the season pass is a wise investment. Considering the fact that ‘Bullet Marsh’ looks to be a faithful update of the Gears 2 multiplayer map, they’re making a good case so far.

We’ve got our own bones to pick about the way Epic has gone about describing and delivering said DLC. But considering the look and feel of the map, Jurassic Park fans may have just as much desire to see how it plays as Gearheads.

What do you think of the new incarnation of ‘Bullet Marsh’? Does it look like it will be offering some gameplay that the current maps are lacking? Leave us your predictions in the comments.

Gears of War 3 is available now for the Xbox 360, with the Versus Booster Pack coming November 24, 2011.
