Titled Gears of War: Anvil Gate, the story picks up some time after the events of Gears of War 2, as Marcus and his team are trying to return to a state of normalcy after thinking the Horde destroyed. On the newly created island of Jacinto, the Gears team discovers that the Lambent are marching their way across the planet, forcing human and Horde to fight side by side to destroy their mutual enemy.
If gamers want to attain a greater understanding of the events of Gears of War 3 then they should absolutely pick up this book, as it will enrich the experience. Epic Games Executive Producer Rod Fergusson had this to say.
"Anvil Gate is part of the fast-moving storyline between the second and third Gears games, so it's essential reading for any fan who wants to fully understand the events of Gears of War 3 - the final game of the trilogy.”
The retail price for the book is $16.00, and it is being published by Del Ray Trade Paperback. Anvil Gate is penned by Karen Traviss, the author of the two previous best-selling Gears novels.
