The Coalition has given fans a new tease on twitter of the addition of Dave Bautista in Gears 5 with a behind-the-scenes video and interview with the actor/wrestler.

The inclusion of Bautista in some way is one fans have been clamoring for since the release of the original Gears of War on the Xbox 360 in 2006, thanks to the actor's resemblance of the game's main character, Marcus Fenix.

While fans have echoed the sentiment for a Gears of War movie starring the actor over the years, his inclusion in Gears 5 seems to be the next best thing. Dave Bautista's likeness replaces Marcus Fenix, with the MCU star also doing voice work. It's worth noting the addition of Bautista is not required as fans have to option to revert back to the original voice work of John DiMaggio if they so desire.

The inclusion of Bautista is not the only way the actor has had an influence on the game, with The Coalition adding the Batista Bomb to Gears 5 multiplayer as an execution move. The small addition is one of the many content updates The Coalition has added to Gears 5, which has included multiplayer skins of classic Gears characters like Cole, Carmine, and Queen Myrrah.

In November, Gears 5 will be receiving some massive updates tied to the launch of the Xbox Series X with an improved frame-rate, a New Game Plus mode, and extra difficulties. Players will also be able to bring over save data from the Xbox One as well and carry over Jack updates to New Game Plus.

Earlier in the year, Mike Rayner, technical director on Gears 5, revealed that the load times of Gears 5 on The Xbox Series X are significantly faster with the game loading 4 times faster than its Xbox One counterpart. The speed is without any changes made to the game and simply running on the Xbox Series X hardware. The reduction in load times is one of the many ways Xbox One games will be improved on the Xbox Series X with Microsoft making a big push on the value of the new hardware and the backwards compatibility of the upcoming console.

With Gears Tactics finally going gold ahead of its November release and the additional content heading to Gears 5, it's a good time to be a Gears fan with a bright future ahead for the franchise on the Xbox Series X and Microsoft's new focus on 1st party content for the console.

Gears 5 is available now on PC and Xbox One, and will be playable on the Xbox Series X at launch on November 12.
