Update April 28, 12:35 PM: The PS5 and Xbox Series X bundles have sold out.

GameStop is one of the most frequent places to find a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, with the video game retailer posting, then selling out of, the two new consoles with relative frequency. While there have been supply issues, fans will have yet another chance at the consoles today, it seems.

According to Wario64, a Twitter account that frequently posts game deals, sales, and in-stock alerts, GameStop will have bundles for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X going live very soon. Needless to say, gamers will need to act quickly if they want to get their hands on one, as the consoles tend to sell out in just a few minutes.

Notably, the consoles appear to only be bundles, so fans will have to drop more than the regular price to get their hands on one, as the bundles will include games, accessories, and the like. Of course, hopeful buyers were likely going to spend money on those things anyway, as the console is effectively a brick without them. That being said, it pays to have some extra buffering room in one's bank account for instances like this.

Even as GameStop puts it, the PS5 and Xbox Series X stock is going to be limited. Those that manage to get their hands on one are in for a treat, but everyone else will just have to wait for another opportunity to pop up and hope that the global stock shortage is cleared up sooner rather than later.

The issues with console supply have been a thorn in the side of gamers for while now, making it difficult to find not only the new consoles, but also some of the older ones, like the PS4 Slim. It's makes more sense for Sony and Microsoft to invest resources in new consoles rather than older ones, which might explain why they've been having stock issues too, but it is rough for anyone that's been trying to get their hands on a system.

The global computer chip shortage could last until 2022, so the new consoles might not be readily available until then, possibly even longer. However, the PS5 has outpaced PS4 sales, and while Microsoft doesn't disclose console sales data, it's possible the Xbox Series X has done the same compared to Xbox One sales. With any luck, fans will be able to get their hands on console without issue by the time fall rolls around, but that depends on a lot of different factors.
