There are currently a lot of Black Friday deals available online, but a few retailers have elected to host in-store sales too. For GameStop specifically, though, it seems most of its deals are online and that’s where they are more easily acquirable. However, the gaming retailer has seemingly decided to limit certain popular items for in-store shoppers.

GameStop has been teasing a PS5 and Xbox Series X restock all week, with both consoles now being confirmed to be at select GameStop stores around the United States. Those looking for these consoles should notably be prepared and quick on their feet.

The October in-store GameStop PS5 and Xbox Series X restock just named cities, but this time around, it’s a little more complicated. Reportedly, every GameStop that opens from 5 – 9 PM local time today (November 25 – Thanksgiving Day) will have a couple of PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles just as many likely wrap up the holiday. It should be easy to Google the store and location, then, to find out if the local GameStop will be open during this time. If it is not, then it is not participating.

What’s important to note, though, is that these are likely to be gone within minutes. There have been several reports of camping already, and it’s only likely to get worse this morning. Gamers are lining up outside the now-closed stores in hopes of getting a console later this evening. To make it even worse, each store will only like have a handful of consoles—if that—and so a line too long is not a promising one.

Still, it’s worth checking if a local store will be having it, just in case. PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles aren’t just great holiday gifts for loved ones, but even for one’s self. The past year of each console has been quite impressive, with games like Halo, Avowed, Elder Scrolls 6, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War: Ragnarok, and far more being on the horizon.

If fans don’t get one today, then they shouldn’t be discouraged. It’s incredibly difficult, to say the least, but there are a few methods of trying to obtain a PS5/Xbox Series X, like following retailers on social media, following social media folks who post deals constantly, and having all retailers updated with current payment, shipping, and other necessary information. Plus, this isn’t likely to be the last restock of the season, so fans should keep an ear out for more.

Select GameStop stores will have a restock while open from 5 PM to 9 PM on Thanksgiving Day.
