Even though it’s been over a year since the PS5 was released, it hasn’t been easy to get one. Some argue that it is becoming easier, but the simple truth is that stocks remain low for a variety of reasons, including high demand. Since Black Friday, retailers like Walmart and GameStop have had a couple of PS5 restocks for those looking for one this holiday season, and that trend has continued into December.

Reportedly, participating GameStop stores may have their largest stock yet of PS5 consoles—approximately 60 compared to numbers in the low-teens to twenties as reported in the past. They’ll still be out really quick though, as fans will find these PS5 consoles in stores on December 17.

According to tech newsletter The Shortcut, which obtained internal GameStop communications, these consoles will be bundled and sold around $750. These PS5 bundles reportedly include the disc version of the console, Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, a second PS5 controller, and a PowerA charging station.

GameStop will be revealing this more publicly going into this weekend and confirming the participating stores online. Interested parties can navigate to GameStop HERE and check to see if their zip code has confirmed stocks for this date yet or not. It may still be a couple of days before all GameStop stores with PS5s will be confirmed.

Still, it’s a pretty good chance to get one if fans are able to confirm their store is participating in the sale. The biggest problem, of course, will be the demand of the PS5 console and the timing—8 days before Christmas. It’s not expected that these PS5 consoles will last beyond December 17 in stores, especially because many are likely still hunting for a PS5 as a holiday gift. As such, those interested in picking up this bundle will want to keep an eye on all GameStop communications.

There are a lot of good games to go alongside this PS5 purchase, but perhaps more importantly, there are a lot of good games on the horizon. God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West are releasing in 2022, and there’s likely more that hasn’t been confirmed yet. No matter what, a PS5 is a gift that keeps on giving thanks to its already available line-up and those set to come out in 2022 and even beyond that.
